Post Posted: Wed Jul 03, 2013 9:10 am     Post subject: The Ashes Tipping Competition - £200 Prize Pot Quote

The 5 game Ashes series starts on Wednesday 10th July at Trent Bridge and OLBG will be running a £200 tipster competition on the series.

The top 2 tipsters over the series will win £50 with 4 runners up prizes of £25. The winners will have the money paid into their OLBG real money account and can withdraw the money via paypal or moneybookers.

Please take your time to understand the entry terms below + ask any questions if you aren't sure.

Entry:
You do not have to enter this separately. If you are a member of OLBG then you just need to add tips (with comments) to the Ashes tipping competition. http://www.olbg.com/tables/events.php?id=42

LSP?
This means Level Stakes Profit. So it doesn't matter if you select a stake of 50 or 500 for these tips. If you place a win tip on a 5/1 winner, you will then have a LSP of + 5 points. If you then have 3 losing win tips, your level stakes profit will be down to + 2 points.

Prizes
The top 6 tipsters will win 50/50/25/25/25/25/. This prize fund is in addition to the normal monthly prizes which you can still win based on the criteria for the other leagues.

LSP>0, tips>5
Those little arrows mean greater than. So you must place more than 5 qualifying tips. So thats 6 or more!

Tipping Table
The tipping tale will be updated the following day as each markets is settled.

Tipping Comments
Winning Tips without tip comments are excluded (all losing tips are included) You must add good comments as to why you are tipping each player when the tip is placed. No comments or comments added later and winning tips wont count.

Poor comments, or short comments on winning tips wont count. We just need a few good reasons as to why you are choosing the selection. 30 + words should be long enough.

Also no copy and pasting of comments - you will need different comments for each tip! If the comments are not deemed of a good enough standard then those comments will be voided and the tipster will not win a prize.

Comments will be checked and verified when the Ashes series has finished. If tipsters can make sure that their comments adhere to the rules, are clear, and written and punctuated well. Lots of visitors are now following the advices, so lets show them the quality on offer.

FEATURES OF A GOOD TIP COMMENT:

Great stuff Nors.

However one thing I see that cause problems in this.

tips >5

There is only a maximum of 6 tips available (5 matches plus Ashes winner) meaning that anyone who misses out on making 1 tip for any reason which could include not fancying any of the options as decent value so rightly leaving would be out of the competition!

I was thinking the same

With only 6 possible bets, its very possible that we could end up with a mass tie for all prizes.

Top batsman and wicket taker for each side and for each match gives you another 3 options per match, making a total of 21 possible tips

Thanks guys.

We are looking into the possibility of adding extra markets but this is a considerable amount of work and could be difficult to maintain and process for other matches. It isn't possible to just to offer extra markets just for The Ashes so we would have to be sure we can handle the extra processing etc for the other matches we offer throughout the year.

We will let you know what is happening with this asap

good to see some new markets added.

how long you leaving that man of the match market up though on this first test?

it'll be gone from bet365 now i'd imagine who your getting it from and not really right that you can back after games started.

the overall markets are fine to have up still as long as odds are getting updated.

how come no one is listed in the table on this competition yet?

I've had plenty of tips on it and would expect to have met the criteria to be on the table.
