So were into the nitty gritty of the tournament, decent trading, top quality matches and hopefully no rain!
Both of these games could easily go either way, and I'll be looking forward to some good trading possbilities.
England v Pakistan
England are favourites to win this game but it's definately tough to call, Pakistan as current champions were humiliated somewhat against last yeears easy beats Australia! England had 2 rain affected games and walked through with no wins on the board and after a fine performance with the bat against West Indies they weren't really up to scratch against Ireland relying on Morgan even more than in the first game to ensure they got a score on the board.
The game is in Barbados where last nights games were played, it's a low scoring ground and I don't anticipate more than 160 runs but more like less than 150.
My call would be that 160 would be a win, 140-150 would produce a close game.
6's haven't been as easy to hit on this ground but not impossible either with the Afghans managing to put away SA for a few in a game that saw 12.
Total 6's is at 9.5 on Hills, i've not had a chance to look elsewhere but would be interested in finding an 8.5 linei nstead.
I may back the over 9.5 at 1.83 though (dependant on Lay price on 9 and under on Betfair).
Total Match wides I will be going over 7.5 @ 1.83
Reason - England have made a habit of giving away far too many runs in wides so far and I expect them to produce the bult of the wides if this bet comes in.
Morgan top bat @ 6
He's the man in form and while he is unlikely to top score in every game his price is still representing value despite 2 top scores. |

come on folks...there must surely be more interest in this tournament than were getting! :x
After a good start Pakistan eventually get about what i'd predicted falling nicely short of the 150 mark with 147.
Expect a close chase and I reckon a last over win for England. |

Not sure what to make of Pakistan, England should be able to chase this down but their batting has been weak apart from Morgan and Wright...Can't keep relying on those 2 to get them home and today could be the day they fail...Pakistan for me but knowing them it won't be easy _________________ If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. So much for that, England not going to even need Morgan and Wright......Pakistan what can you say _________________ If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. yeah all going nice and easy.
A little harsh on the other batsman jimny, they'd only played 2 games and the 3 openers all got England off to a very decent start in the first game.
just need 1 more 6 to win all of my bets for the game now. England win, over 7.5 wides, over 9.5 6's and under 150 runs. |

South Africa v New Zealand - 6:30 start @ Barbados
A tough tie between 2 highly rated sides. New Zealand have been looking very good so far with a well balanced side while South Africa have big names and ability all through the line up and are fantastic in the field.
South Africa have come straight off a late game last night all be it a fairly comfortable game for them especially at the end of the night in the field.
While the quick turn around could be considered a disadvantage I don't think it will cause them any problems and it will mean they come into this game with a knowledge of the pitch which is always handy.
I think we'll see plenty of movement in the prices here, I see New Zealands 2.3 going odds on at some point in the game.
Total 6's over 10.5 @ 1.83.
Both teams can score plenty but the line here is 10.5. I'm not sure weather to take it or not, the games at Barbados have been low scoring and while 6's haven't been too difficult the figure has generally been pretty close to the line with 10 in the early game.
I think there's enough fire power out there to take it for me so i'm on.
Total wides - over 8.5 @ 1.83
i'm on this one as well. South Africa have had 4 and 8 wides. New Zealand 9 and 1.
With 6's also brings pressure and inevitably more wides.
Winner I'm not sure but New Zealand are the value bet for me. |

I fancied New Zealand but I also fancied the team that bat first to win.
South Africa win toss and bat first.
Saying that this isn't a day/night game so not quite so bad as last night where there was a huge amount of swing during SA's bowling.
I'm happy to go with New Zealand for now |
