World Championship Snooker Competition 2012 (Prize Money)

OLBG World Championship Snooker Competition (starts on Saturday 10am BST)

The Betfred.com World Snooker Championship at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield starts on Saturday 21st April 2012.

The Challenge

In the Challenge you will need to predict the scores/results of the 1st round matches (best of 19 frames or first to get to 10 frames). Points will be awarded for correct predictions (see The Points below). You will also need to choose 8 players who you think will do well in the Tournament. Points will be awarded for each player from the Quarter Final onwards (See The Points below). Once you have selected your 8 Players, you will need to place them in an order from 1-8, with Number 1 being your strongest choice. You can see from The Entry Form Template and example how this works. You will also need to predict if anyone will get a maximum 147 break, which player will get the highest break and What will be the score in the Final (First to 18 frames).

The Tipster with the most Points will be the Winner!

OLBG are kindly offering prize money with £10 for the winner and £5 for the runner-up

* Remember the all Important order in which you choose your outright selections.
Example- Say you selected Ronnie O’Sullivan as your Number 1 selection and he lost in the Semi Final, you would score 8x8= 64 Pts for Ronnie O’Sullivan. If you chose last year’s winner John Higgins as your Number 4 selection and he wins the Tournament again, you would score 5x15= 75 Pts for John Higgins. All of your 8 selections will be awarded points in this way with 0 points if they do not make the Tournament latter stages.

* 1st round points scoring - Say you predict Neil Robertson to beat Ken Doherty 10-6. If Robertson does win 10-6 then you will score 5 Points for being exactly right. If Robertson wins by any other score line you will score 3 Points for getting the correct result, if Doherty beats Robertson then will score 0. All of the 1st round matches will be scored in this way.

The Rules

* Only one entry per Tipster

* In the event of a tie for a prize money position the Tipster who scored the most points from the outright points section will be the winner, if still a tie then prize monies will be shared.
* The closing date for entries is 10am Saturday 21st April.
