The draw for the World Championships has been made after the final qualifying rounds were played
John Higgins [1] v Liang Wenbo [39]
Stuart Bingham [16] v Stephen Hendry [19]
Graeme Dott [9] v Joe Perry [25]
Stephen Maguire [8] v Luca Brecel [88]
Shaun Murphy [5] v Jamie Jones [42]
Stephen Lee [12] v Andrew Higginson [20]
Allister Carter [13] v Mark Davis [17]
Judd Trump [4] v Dominic Dale [28]
Mark J Williams [3] v Liu Chuang [61]
Ronnie O'Sullivan [14] v Peter Ebdon [26]
Martin Gould [11] v David Gilbert [66]
Neil Robertson [6] v Ken Doherty [32]
Ding Junhui [7] v Ryan Day [29]
Mark Allen [10] v Cao Yupeng [83]
Matthew Stevens [15] v Marco Fu [21]
Mark Selby [2] v Barry Hawkins [22]
I have already backed Judd Trump @ 6/1 to win the event, he is in the top half of the draw which is the easier half although he will probably have to beat John Higgins to win the whole thing |

Interesting Draw for R O'Sullivan, 1st round match against World Champion and recent China Open winner P Ebdon and he may have to face a former World Champion in every match to win the tournament. But he is still 3rd Fav ahead of both the current World Champion J Higgins and the current World number 1 Mark Selby.
Mark Selby would be my value bet having been to the Quarter Finals the last 3 years (only other player who has is Mark Allen) and has top scored the rankings for the past 2 years. |

My main bet is going to be Neil Robertson as I think he's such a great 'match player'. He can mix a bit of safety with great break building and has nerves of steel also.
Another player that I've had a small bet on is Stuart Bingham. Okay he's an unlikely winner, but he has a great draw and could possibly only have to beat Hendry an out of form Higgins and Dott or Maguire to reach the semi-finals.
He won his first ranking event this season which will boost his confidence and at 130.00 on Betfair looks completely overpriced.
A few of the shorter priced players that I can't have on my mind are Selby, Williams, Murphy and Higgins, while although I could see Ronnie maybe winning outright I would be worried about him coming through his first match against Ebdon and even if he progresses it could leave a scar if the match is long and drawn out. |

Peter Ebdon to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan @ 3/1
Ronnie O'Sullivan hasn't had the best of seasons, if he had not won the German Masters he would have had to qualify for this event.
He lost to Mark Selby in the quarter finals of the Welsh Open and lost in the quarter finals of the China Open against Stephen Maguire on a respotted black in the deciding frame.
Peter Ebdon comes here in fine form, he beat Alfie Burden 10-0 in the qualifiers to reach the first round.
He also won the China Open recently, beating Matthew Stevens, John Higgins, Neil Robertson, Ding Junhai & Stephen Maguire in taking the title.
3/1 is a massive price for a player in such great form |

As good a player as Peter Ebdon is, I just can't imagine Ronnie not getting past the first round. Value wise I think Higgins is large at 9s, I think it will come down to beating Trump in the semis but if he does that I think he's got this one _________________ brewsty39 |

Backed mattew stevenns this morning @4/5..very pleased with the start he has made..(8-0)
I have also backed Peter Ebdon @11/4 today he does like micko said have some good form coming into this..and who know what the rocket will get up to today 3-1 is massive price might look in play aswell..
I have backed stephen lee to win outright @33-1 another man back in the rankings down to form..i know he might be a long shot but id rather back him than trump at this stage _________________ The safest way to double your money is to fold it over once and put it in your pocket. ~Kin Hubbard |

mark allen sent a tweet to stephen lee (who had a go at him over the push shot incident) earlier saying...
"wonder what story isn't gonna be released this week due to lies??!! Come on Andrew Higginson!!! He's probably backed you anyway!"
does anyone know what this is referring to? another inside betting story or just lighthearted comment? _________________ Positions are available in the OLBG Lottery syndicate. Multiple lines in each draw increases chances of a jackpot. Wanna join? Please PM me for info. |

I got Dale to beat Trump at 10/3 after I found out Trump was ill yesterday... I expect Trump to end up winning as he got through yesterday 5-4 up. Dale however is now 6-5 up and Trump just looks out of sorts still.
I also went for Hawkins at 4.33, that's looking good.
But from the results so far, they may be my last bets during the tournament. |

| The more I am seeing of Trump, the worse I think he is, his brain doesn't seem to have progressed at all. Still just goes for anything (yeah great when it works out) but he needs to learn to calm down. |
