what are peoples thoughts on the robertson vs carter semi?
I have backed Robertson this week as mentioned previously and although he has had good spells, he didn't play well against Gould and his comeback was as much to do with Gould missing as him playing well and against Davis the first session could easily have finished 4-4 but Davis couldn't take advantage and although he still finished the job off well, just not convinced about him at the moment.
On the other hand Carter has ground out two massive wins against Ding and Murphy and I think his determination may give him the upper hand.
What are people's thoughts on Robertson, can he produce his best snooker when it matters? |

Small bet on Ali Carter at 8-4 down in the mid-session interval, Robertson started well with a century and took the 8th frame on a re-spotted black but hasn't looked so good since then...Carter is still not at his best but if he can at least split the next 4 frames and maybe even edge them I wouldn't write him off. _________________ If a problem is fixable, if a situation is such that you can do something about it, then there is no need to worry. poor final but it's only because these two are desperate to win. both have played brilliant, attacking snooker for the last two weeks and both are top class players.
Can only see Robertson winning it now though, just been that bit stronger tonight. _________________ Football and Boxing expert.

think robbos relaxed a bit now nearer to winning line which may remove the anxiety but can see a wobble when he gets to 17. _________________ Positions are available in the OLBG Lottery syndicate. Multiple lines in each draw increases chances of a jackpot. Wanna join? Please PM me for info. |

Congrats to Robbo but wasnt the highest quality overall. Dott was clearly tired and it showed. Stupid start times of sessions, made no sense. _________________ Theo Walcott will score at least 20 in all competitions this season.

Just taken a quick look at the World Championship prices for next year, and am personally suprised to find 14s about one of the eyecatchers of the tournament, Mark Allen. He is definately on the upgrade and found a lot this tournament, only to be knocked out by in the deciding frame by eventual finalist Graeme Dott - where experience proved valuable. I think next year he could be old enough to win a major and given his impressive performance this year i'm going to chance him at 14s.
Oh and I know it's a bit early to be looking at next years prices, but I am snooker mad at the moment ! _________________ Scallywags |

I'd agree with Allen, would want him to have form going in though (same as this year) but theres no reason why not as hes fast improving.
Selby should go deep, was very disappointed with how badly he played against Dott though, especially after being so strong in the previous rounds.
Murphy is always dangerous, Ronnie is Ronnie, and who knows if Higgins will be there? I like Robbo but I dont think he'll retain next year, and it remains to be seen if Dott truly is back to his best.
Obvious one Ive not mentioned was someone I expected a big tournament from this year, Ding Junhui. He had the tournament at his mercy and couldnt perform when it matters. The experience will do him good though.
Ali Carter has been close the last few years too..
So basically I have no idea _________________ Theo Walcott will score at least 20 in all competitions this season.
