what a match this final is.
brilliant effort from Selby on the come back, not finished as i type, with it at 9-8 and Ronnie O'Sullivan has just played one of the best safety shots going under the circamstances.
I'm just hoping it goes to 9-9 as it could be a brilliant final frame. |

The last few frames have been pure quality FF. A frame shootout now to decide. If anybody isn't watching then I'd seriously advise to start!! _________________ -

Well Done Mark Selby
great bottle on the last frame and all of the last 4 frames coming through to win.
loved ronnies interview after as well:
Interviewer: "It's been a hard week hasn't it"
Ronnie: "Not Really" |

Aye, great interview surely!! I know we all give out about Ronnie from time to time but snooker really would be a boring place without him.
Well done to Selby, decent sort. _________________ -

Cracking comeback from Selby and I think frame 18 there was one of the best I've ever seen. I can't even remember the order they happened in now but...
* Selby cruising towards a final frame decider then misses an easy red
* Ronnie showing balls of steel for the first time to land the double on the red
* Ronnie showing balls of steel for the second time playing the slow safety towards the corner pocket
* Selby catches the red thick to give Ronnie another chance but he misses the yellow on his next shot
* Ronnie plays an outstanding snooker to get the yellow right by the black
* Selby goes for broke with it and gets a little lucky leaving Ronnie a tough pot and a very tough one positionally to get on the green
* Ronnie knocks in the yellow and manages to get it up near the green but in the worst possible position for a pot
* Cue moment of madness from Ronnie and a crazy shot selection that leaves Selby in to finally clear up and force the decider
Great entertainment and delighted for Selby. _________________ National Hunt Beginners Guide |

loved his response to that.
you went for a big cut on the green with your left hand that anyone would have found difficult on their prefered hand.
"sometimes you've got to take it by the scruff of the neck and go for the opportunity".
you tell em ronnie!
he seemed a bit distracted those last few frames but was still playing well without seeing many opportunities until frame 18. you've gotta worry for your money in snooker when the person you've backed waves over at his mate in the crowd and turns round with a big grin on his face! |
