Petra Martic vs Marion Bartoli

Bartoli is not a nice player to watch her style is ugly and akward its not the way tennis should be played. However to say its not working for her is another matter. Back in her homeland on the indoor circuit she will be gunning to do well. Martic is an average player 66th in the wolrd but the gulf between her and bartoli at no7 is greater than numbers can describe. Any good oppostion has dispatched martic this season in two comfortable sets. Bartoli did well last season and the loss to zheng in the aussie open shouldnt be a long term set back for her continued progress.

Maria Sharapova vs Chanelle Scheepers

Paris in the springtime eh. An evil streak is visable in sharapova and it will no doubt be out in her this week when she walked off the court in melbourne beaten in them time it takes djokovic and nadal to play a single set. The question hangs over the reasons the woman are seeing the same pay as the men, for me the classic games are few and far between and off the court they are seeing more of the rewards. 3set tennis is all good, but i think their is room for more 5setters the real test of the better player.
Both players saw their 1st round oppenets off with ease, The south african scheepers is late on scene but ranked in top50. She ran Kuznetzova close in 1st round, but her indoor hard record does not near match her hard court record. Sharapova plays it rarely but is 6-3 and won an indoor title in 2010.

NY Giants vs NE Patriots

Its the superbowl time, and i wish i had tipped the giants for blogs when the playoffs started. The giants have mad mock of that price now and are in the superbowl now. The patriots favourites fro a long time from AFC side of draw seek revenge for 2007. But the giants are improved and im not sure the patriots are.
The patriots defense is more liable to give up the big plays to make the errors. Im not sure the patriots have improved that much on offense. The giants meanwhile have just as solid a line and their defense down field has begun to find its feet at just the right time.
So with the offensive options of nicks and cruz they match up with the patriots options. But the patriots rely on welker and the tight ends, one of which is gronk who is hobbled. He willl play but how effective he can be is debatable for me. So with all that in mind i say G fence, new york giant pride.

Im sad see iv missed the 6/5 but iv been bit distracted this morning after discussing this game first thing this morning, Everton have done well on their travels to wigan winning 3 of their last 6 games here.
Things are looking up the win over city was huge and showed everton have made some shrewd signings and have managed with injurys that have hit their squad. Away wins at brom and bolton show that everton can handle the pace of things when playing weaker sides. If pushing for some real value id say everton ht/ft with the draw at half time is worth a look.

Scotland v England

Its not the best in value but the word bounce back rings to mind for me as west ham host fierce rivals millwall at upton park.
the 5-1 loss to the tractor boys in their last game needs to be put away in the memory and west ham need show the quality of their side one that should and will be going back to premiership on their other showings this season.
Millwall won their last game away but prior to that had picked up just a single point from their last 5away their not the most feared side on the road. with that in mind a bet on the west hamn and a tidy little sum on the asian as well should see well looked after.

The bulls come to new york off a loss but god this knciks side is exposed right out thing are not falling right for them and a talented side like the bulls are able to take advantage. The bulls are 6-4 in their last 10 games coming into this, the knicks are having hard time its 2-8 for last 10 coming in the sum of the parts isnt adding up for them.
