May 23 Shahar Peer To Defeat Alize Cornet Again
11:01
23/05 13:00 Shahar Peer plays Alize Cornet and Shahar should win this and I am surprised her odds are not shorter. These two players have met three times previously on this tour and Shahar has won all three matches in two sets. Their most recent match was in Miami this year when Shahar won 6-4, 6-2. Shahar has lots of experience and is presently ranked at number 53 in the world and has won 5 titles on the WTA tour. She won her opening match comfortably this week when defeating Aleksandra Wozniak 7-5, 6-0. Alize Cornet is ranked at number 86 in the world and has won once on this tour and that was in 2008. Her best effort so far this year was in an ITF tournament in Nassau where she reached the final before losing but did not have to beat a top 70 ranked player to get there. Her latest match was against Olga Govortsova ( ranked at number 75 ) who she beat in three sets but I do not think that Alize will be good enough to beat Shahar today. 6

May 23 Sweet World To Run Well At Chepstow Again
10:29
23/05 16:40 Sweet World looks worth an interest in this race at Chepstow which is run over approx 10 furlongs. This horse raced recently over hurdles and won so is race fit today which some of his opponents might not be. Sweet World's latest race on the flat was a 7th place on heavy going in November last year but he had previously won over today's course and distance at the end of September 2011 and seems reasonably treated today off a rating of only 5lb more. This horse will be ridden by Martin Lane who won on him in that Chepstow race. Sweet World has previously shown that he acts on the track and going and stays the distance so he looks to have a reasonably good chance of winning today. 10

May 22 Shahar Peer To Win WTA Strasbourg
23:46
26/05 10:00 The surprise defeats of Sabine Lisicki and Mona Barthel has left this event wide open with many players looking to have a chance of winning. The player who I think could win is Shahar Peer who has lots of experience and is presently ranked at number 53 in the world. She has won 5 titles on the WTA tour and won her opening match comfortably this week when defeating Aleksandra Wozniak 7-5, 6-0. That victory will have boosted her confidence and she should defeat Alize Cornet ( already defeated her this year in Miami ) in the next round . She may then have to play Anabel Medina Garrigues who is now favourite to win this event and she will be a difficult opponent to beat but if Shahar can win then she looks to have a very good chance of at least reaching the final and could win this tournament. 28

May 22 Maria Kirilenko To Defeat Sloane Stephens
10:53
22/05 14:30 Maria Kirilenko is 25 years old and has won 5 titles on the WTA tour with the latest being in 2008. Maria is ranked at 17 in the World and has been in reasonably good form so far this season with a final place in Thailand ( lost in 3 sets to Daniela Hantuchova ) and reached the QF stage at Indian Wells where she lost to Maria Sharapova. She then lost to Marion Bartoli in Miami and was beaten by Karin Knapp ( ranked 133 ) in Portugal. She has lost to a couple of top 50 ranked players since but should be good enough to defeat Sloane Stephens who is ranked at 79 and has yet to win a title on the WTA tour. Sloane has played moderately so far on this tour in 2012 and has not managed to get past the final 16 in any tournament. Her best effort was in Miami where she won three matches including one against Sara Errani ( who was ranked at number 30 ) before losing to Maria Sharapova. I think that Maria Kirilenko will win this. 31

Profit/Loss Maria Kirilenko Win @ 1.3 May 21 Bryce Molder Should Like Course At The Crowne Plaza Invitational
23:39
27/05 12:00 Bryce Molder won his first event on the PGA tour last season when he was successful at the Frys.com Open in October. He had been playing quite well before that victory with five top 10 finishes including a jt 6th at the Travellers and a jt 8th at the AT & T tournament. He started the season in reasonable form but has been a bit disappointing lately. However he is the type of player who could do well here as he he is accurate off the tee and can play well from tee to green. He can also putt well and was rated as one of the best putters on the PGA tour in 2011 ( ranked in the top 10 in putting stats ) and came jt 5th in this event in 2010 so he has shown he can play well on this course. 22

May 21 Rookie Jonas Blixt To Continue His Good Form This Week
23:36
27/05 12:00 Jonas Blixt is a tentative choice as rookies do not have a good record at this tournament which is often won by experienced players. He did well on the Nationwide tour last year without winning as he made the top ten on 8 occasions including three runner up places. His latest three performances have shown improvement with a jt 13th at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and a jt 9th at the Wells Fargo Championship followed by a jt 3rd last week at the Bryon Nelson so is he in good form and may win at decent odds. 24

May 21 Geoff Ogilvy To Play Well In Crowne Plaza Invitational
23:33
27/05 12:00 Geoff Ogilvy is capable of playing much better golf than he has done so far this year as he has won seven times on the PGA tour and one of those victories was obtained in a Major. He has lots of experience and can putt well especially on fast greens and putting is likely to be important at this event. He has not been playing particularly well in 2012 but has only missed one cut and has managed three top 20 finishes including a jt 12th at the Players in his latest event and could find his best form this week at reasonable odds. He was jt 7th here in 2008 and jt 13th in 2010. 25

May 21 Bill Haas To Return To Form This Week
23:29
27/05 12:00 Bill Haas has been a bit disappointing since winning the Northern Trust in mid February this year but is capable of playing good golf on the PGA tour as he showed last year with a victory in the TOUR Championship and seven other top ten finishes including a jt runner up place at the the Greenbrier Classic. He is usually good from tee to green and he has some reasonably good form here with jt 13th in 2010 and jt 8th in 2011. I think he could return to his best at this tournament and his latest performance was a jt 25th at the Players which was his best result since his win in the Northern Trust. 22

May 21 Zach Johnson To Win In Texas Again
23:28
27/05 12:00 Zach Johnson is an obvious choice for this but it can sometimes pay to go with the obvious in golf betting. Zach has a lot of experience and often plays well in Texas and has won the Texas Open twice and has also won this event which takes place in Fort Worth, Texas. His victory here was achieved in 2010 and he came jt 9th in 2009 and was 4th last year so he obviously has a strong liking for the par 70 course at this event. He has been in good form recently with a 2nd at the RBC Heritage and a jt 2nd at the Players and looks to have a decent chance of winning this tournament again. 21

May 20 Christina McHale To Win Her First WTA Title
23:16
26/05 12:00 Favourite for this is Agnieszka Radwanska who has been in very good form this year with two WTA victories but she was defeated in the early rounds at Rome last week and complained of lower back pains so does mot look worth backing at short odds in the circumstances. If she is fit and fully motivated then she will probably win so I am going to avoid backing any player in her part of the draw. 39

May 20 Marina Erakovic To Defeat Ayumi Morita
16:33
22/05 15:30 Marina Erakovic is ranked at number 41 and has yet to win a tournament on this tour since turning professional in 2005. She has won 11 titles on the ITF circuit including two last year on clay which is the surface used for this event. Her best form so far this season was in Memphis where she was the beaten finalist. Since then she has lost in three tournaments to players ranked in the top 60 and then reached the semi - final in Budapest before going to Rome where she defeated World number 13 Sabine Lisicki before losing in three sets to Chanelle Scheepers. Her opponent is the Japanese player Ayumi Morita who is ranked at 77 and has also never won a title on this tour. Ayumi has not been playing that well this year and has lost to players ranked 227 and 96 in recent clay tournaments. These two players have met four times previously on the WTA circuit and Ayumi has won all four matches but the latest one was in 2008 and I think that Marina has improved since then and is presently in better form and Marina should win this match. 40

Profit/Loss Marina Erakovic Win @ 1.53 LOST May 20 Olga Govortsova To Beat Alize Cornet
16:04
22/05 16:30 Olga Govortsova has yet to win on the WTA tour but has reached the final on three occasions with the latest being in April 2010 where she lost to Caroline Wozniacki. Olga has won twice on the ITF circuit including a victory in February this year. She is ranked at number 75 and her most recent tournament was in Rome where she played quite well against Petra Cetkoviska but lost 5-7, 4-6. Her opponent is Alize Cornet from France who is ranked at number 86 in the world. Alize has won once on this tour and that was in 2008. Her best effort so far this year was in an ITF tournament in Nassau where she reached the final before losing but did not have to beat a top 70 ranked player to get there. Her latest event was in Stuttgart where she reached the last 16 but had to retire due to injury. This match could be close but I think that Olga has better form this year and could be more match fit than Alize so I expect Olga to win. 46
