Indian Premier League - IPL6 2013
WELL DONE TO THE 2013 IPL WINNERS MUMBAI INDIANS!
I have to say this is my favourite tournament of the cricket calendar. Yes, I know it’s all money motivated and driven, but you cannot escape the fact that it brings success and the following rules and criteria ensure natural progression of Indian cricket and it will leave a lasting legacy.
Each Franchise has a salary cap of $12.5 million to put together a squad of up to 33 players (minimum squad length 16 players with 1 coach and 1 physio). Only 11 of these 33 can be overseas players, with only 4 being permitted in the starting team of any game. A minimum of 14 Indian players must be named in each squad, plus a minimum of 6 players from the BCCI under 22’s.
2008 - Rajasthan Royals
2009 - Deccan Chargers
2010 - Chennai Super Kings

My WinnersIt’s time to dust of my Chennai Super Kings shirt once again. The two times winners were a bit disappointing last year, but they have such a strong squad you can never write them off. Captain MS Dhoni has been under pressure lately as Indian squad Captain and this will be a perfect chance to endear himself to the Indian public once again. Predictable as I am, it’s CSK to win for me once again!
Who will be your winner?
Thanks and Good Luck - gs..
