by Micko70 on 01 Aug at 17:51
Every Season i always like to have a look at the Handicaps on offer for the Premiership to see if anything stands out as a potential bet. Everton - "Six Pointers" Aren't Just For Relegation Candidates
by garethp1981 on 02 Aug at 18:05
In my series of blogs reviewing the 2014-15 season for each team in the league I have so far covered twelve teams, which is not particularly good going given that there is now less than a week to go until the new season. I plan to cover the remaining eight teams this week, probably in three separate blogs including this one. That said I am trying to give as much attention to teams as needed to fit in all my thoughts, I wrote one blog just about Manchester United, and with Everton I am going to do the same because I feel I have a lot to say about them. The other blogs will be up during the week, hopefully in enough time for people to read them before the season, and leaving me the free to write a preview..
MLB Trade Deadline Winners & Losers
by undertherobe on 01 Aug at 18:30
With the MLB trade deadline coming last night, I wanted to take a look at a couple of teams who excelled over the past week or so and have thrown themselves into the mix for a run at the postseason whilst also looking at a couple of teams who have made moves that appear to signal their intentions to regroup and come back for 2016. Winners Toronto Blue Jays By far the biggest winners at this deadline were the Blue Jays. Throughout the 2015 season, their offense has been leading the way and they currently average 5.29 runs per game. But it's their pitching that has let them down (they rank in the bottom half of the major pitching categories) and led to them trailing the New York Yankees by six games in the AL East. The acquisition of David Price from the Detroit..
West Ham United Pre-Season
by redhammer on 02 Aug at 18:37
Ins and Outs Well the first person to go at Upton Park in the summer was Sam Allardyce, and from majority of Hammers. YAS!! The football in the first 6 months was unreal, pace, creativity, a winning and entertaining brand of football. But as soon as Nolan and Carroll was fit, Downing, arguably the best player in that team, was moved to accommodate his skipper and Sakho and Valencia were rotated and pushed wider to allow Big Andy the central role. And the football was dire. Long ball after long ball and zero threat. Opposition keepers could have had a cup of tea at some stages. When were were winning it was 'park the bus' tactics. The board didn't leave anyone guessing and within minutes off the final whistle on the last game, Hammers fans celebrated. In came Slaven Bilic, not everyone's..
Betfred Ebor Early Look
by Micko70 on 02 Aug at 21:31
The Betfred Ebor Handicap is a class 2 handicap run at York racecourse towards the end of August, it's run over 1m 6f on the final day of the Ebor meeting I have looked at this in the early stages and looked at it in a slightly different way than i normally do. Instead of going through the last 10 years i have looked at the last 20 runnings, which spreads over 21 years as the 2008 running was run at a different track over a shorter distance. I have looked at the following 11 trends, Age, Weight, Official Rating, Last Time Out, Last Run, Year Runs, Year Wins, Distance, Course Form, Field Size & Handicap Wins There are 115 horses entered at the early stages for this race but only 113 have been given weights, i will go through all of those horses..
Ante-Post bets for European leagues
by Epic on 30 Jul at 15:48
In recent years I have discovered the magic of ante-post bets for myself. I've always made bets here and there, but only recently I started to do more research regarding the selections as I feel they offer great value. I've been quite successful in picking out the winners and losers even before a ball has been kicked. And isn't it great when a long season has ended and you get an extra sum from pretty much nowhere added to your account? I've certainly enjoyed it and hopefully, if you follow my tips, you could also win big with bets made before the new football season has started. I've picked out ten ante-post bets, all with at least even odds, from European leagues. FRANCE Bordeaux to finish TOP 6 in Ligue 1 @ 2.20 (Unibet) Since winning the Ligue title in 2009 Bordeaux..

Champions League Qualifying Rounds - Rising & Falling Teams
While the Champions league is still at an early stage, I personally consider those early rounds much more interesting than the actual group stage. For one, the teams involved are much more exotic and it is really rare to have...
