A Blue Point of View

Man City v Crystal Palace Saturday 20th December (12:45 ko) Preview Firstly welcome to my blog and my preview on Premier League matches involving my club Manchester City. I'm writing about our 17th Premier League match of the season, at the Etihad against Neil Warnock and his Crystal Palace side. Crystal Palace had a solid start to the season, they're a hard working team, full of commitment and are quite difficult to beat which are all hallmarks of a Neil Warnock side. They've proven to be a match for Arsenal, Chelsea & Man Utd this season as all 3 of those sides had only beaten Palace by just 1 goal. Arsenal needed a very late winner against them and Man Utd were very lucky as Crystal Palace had a number of good chances that they failed to put..
Weekly Euro Football Predictor 2014 - WEEK 15
by botev1921 on 18 Dec at 22:25
After the great season we had last year and the tons of positive messages regarding our Weekly Euro Football Blog, we are back with a bigger team and even more determined to help you out with well-developed selections on the biggest European leagues and the Champions league. The idea behind the blog is to get differing opinions on the best bets for the best matches in Europe over the weekend from a panel of experts. Each tipster provides their perception of the way the game will pan out and where the value bet in the mass football markets might be. These opinions can be used in any way you wish. You may wish to take one bet where the panel agrees (signalled out as CONSENSUS PICK) and add that to existing bets you have or mix and match the various European..
The Houston Rockets might just be the real deal
by Epic on 17 Dec at 15:38
Before the new NBA season started the Houston Rockets were the team, which basically made all the negative lists of the off-season. They were judged to be the losers in the free agency market and were also listed among the teams expected to take a step back during the season. It's turned out completely different though. The Rockets visit Denver tonight holding the third best record in the league. There were a number of coveted free agents on the market this summer and much like the previous years, the Rockets general manager Daryl Morey was very ambitious in his approach to go after them. Chris Bosh turned out to be the most realistic target and seemed to be in the bag until the Miami Heat power forward changed his mind and stayed in sunny Florida. To make the deal happen Morey..
Racing at Meydan, Dubai - Results, Review and Preview

Racing at Meydan, Dubai - Results, Review and Preview As I've said before on my blogs covering Meydan, I'm a huge fan of the racing from Meydan and have been since 2010, I follow it with a passion, love watching it, punting on it and I always greatly look forward to the Meydan racing season starting. This week sees the 4th week of the new racing season on the dirt at Meydan and as the weeks go by I'll do my best to review the action and update with news, views and horses/trainers to follow, for those interested my last Meydan blog covered why I'm so taken by Meydan. Meydan definitely represents a real punting challenge, most definitely will be the case this year with the switch back to dirt from Tapeta, but it's a challenge well worth taking in my opinion..
Newcastle v SUNDERLAND

Newcastle v SUNDERLAND KO 13.30 Sunday 21st December Venue: St James Park, Newcastle An unbiased preview The Heritage The fierce rivalry which lies at the very heart of the Tyne and Wear Derby runs far deeper than football. It is a tale of two cities, two tribes, who's rivalry is perhaps unparalleled and pre-dates football by some 200 years. With the roots of hatred and dissent having grown for centuries, on Sunday afternoon you will see this released through every blade of grass into a cauldron of noise. This match has become the centrepiece of history and division in the North East and is played as much in the stands as it is on the pitch. This year their have been calls to temper the hatred, let history remain history and unite as fans of football, which is the case with..

Odds on Relegation Teams in danger... Burnley - The Bookies favourites for the drop have managed to pick up a couple of wins recently and drag themselves out of the drop zone. Although it's likely they'll occupy one of the magical bottom three places again soon. Without the financial might of the likes of QPR it is difficult to see how a burnley will manage to avoid the drop. They have gone multiple games without scoring this season, which is never a good sign and their squad lacks real depth. Times will get tougher as the season draws on, injuries will likely come and cause further problems for the lads from Turf Moor. It's hard to see how they will escape the drop back down to the championship at the first time of asking. Best odds: 1/2 multiple..
Gameweek 17 - Liverpool vs Arsenal
by ibfm23 on 18 Dec at 07:02
One of the worse results of the season turned up to be the best gameweek for the blog. Rooney and Van Persie were both on target and as expected Manchester United were easy victors. Ironically though, for the first time since the Tottenham match in gameweek 2, I was intrigued by the Reds. Intrigued by what appeared to be a sign of life. Intrigued by Sterling who ran ragged the United defense all afternoon. Intrigued by the returning Balotelli who arguably had his best Liverpool game only to be denied by MOM De Gea. The Spanish keeper was forced into 9 saves most of which were one on one situations. I followed the match with my fellow OLBGers through the forum and whilst I was initially annoyed that Rodgers opted for a false 9 approach, I quickly swallowed back my words..
