Trainers to follow in March
by Scratville on 01 Mar at 02:34
We move into March on the back of two successful months and an overall LSP of +£98.11. With Cheltenham just around the corner we highlight 6 NH trainers and 9 AW trainers. March has been good to us in the last two years, hopefully it will be again this year and we can make it 5 profitable months on the trot. NH PHILIP HOBBS (CHASERS) Sitting second in the trainers championship so far it has been a fantastic season for the Hobbs team. He goes into Cheltenham with a nice bunch of Chasers and has a great record with his Chasers in March. 2011 5/27 19% +£ 4.75 2012 8/23 35% +£23 25 2013 1/17..
Davis Cup 2015
by undertherobe on 03 Mar at 20:45
The biggest team competition in tennis returns this weekend for the 104th edition and with commitments from players such as Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, this year’s competition promises to be another cracker. With eight World Group ties scheduled for the weekend, this blog takes a quick look through the matchups with the hope of trying to identify some value. Germany vs France These countries met in last year’s quarter finals with the French coming from 2-0 down for just the fourth time in their history and they eventually made it all the way to the Final where they were defeated by a Swiss team inspired by Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka. This year’s German team looks stronger on paper than last year’s with Philipp Kohlschreiber and Benjamin Becker taking up the singles spots but despite home court advantage, they face an incredibly..
Cheltenham 2015 - A win and each way lucky 31 for 5 major races

Cheltenham 2015 - A win and each way lucky 31 for 5 major races As I sit writing this, I excitedly tell myself "just 9 days to go now until it all starts again, brilliant, can't wait" - no I'm not talking about Christmas day, or my birthday, I'm talking about the start of the Cheltenham Festival and all of you reading this who are jump racing fans will share those thoughts, I just know you will. Now I've been a fan of horse racing as a whole sport since I was a kid, trips with my family to Doncaster for the St Leger aged 10, maybe slightly younger, so I've been a fan of horse racing for a very long time indeed, getting on for 30 years now. Flat turf racing was what I was brought upon, that's what my dad..
Old flames die hard: the Red Wings are enjoying their games against the Western Conference
by Epic on 01 Mar at 15:10
Before the start of last season we saw a realignment in the NHL, which, among other moves, saw the Detroit Red Wings moved from the Western Conference to the East. Judging by the fact that the Wings made it through to the playoffs as the last team in the East and with just a three point edge over the Washington Capitals, we can say the team had trouble adjusting with the change. It's often said the Western Conference teams play a much more physical style of hockey. To their credit, they did have a decent record against their new Conference foes going 26-18-10. The record against the West was 13-10-5. This season though, the Red Wings have proved that old flames die hard and they are enjoying matchups against the Western Conference. Yesterday the team finished off a road trip consisting..
Unreasonable reasoning - Non-scientific, irrational betting angles
by botev1921 on 01 Mar at 18:33
Over the years I have come across many logical and not so logical reasons to back a certain outcome of a sports event and to be honest, I never take anything lightly as you never know where one could find wisdom. However, I grew up a bit disgusted with certain so-called pundits or specialist in particular sports, who often get extensive coverage due to either experience or simply popularity, but ever so often the things they offer as reasoning for particular bets, are nothing short of moronic. There are countless angles to sports selections, but in my eyes (and I do not want to offend anybody who thinks those make sense) some angles are just one step too far and are simply worthless and even misleading than anything else. Since I have not posted any philosophical blog entries in a..
The Gold Cup Conclusion from the original blog with history
by meoldmate on 01 Mar at 21:34
THE GOLD CUP I have written a blog on the runners for this race with history to go with each runner as they appeared which many people have read and placed a mention at the bottom of the page. You can find this blog by typing http://www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=407857 As the link will not work. At least twenty five horses came to be mentioned for this Blue Ribbon race and now the numbers would have dwindled somewhat to possibly twelve or maybe more. I started out thinking SILVINIACO CONTI would be the key player to this race and at 8/1 in October looked to be the best way to play. He has strengthen up since last season, as his trainer Paul Nicholls has highlighted and has been finishing his races off, as he has shown when winning at Haydock and Kempton. The twice he..
MLS 2015 Season Preview
by bobslay13 on 03 Mar at 21:43
MLS 2015 Season Preview Major League Soccer The 2015 MLS season kicks off at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles, the home of defending MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy on March the 7th when they face Chicago Fire. I’m looking forward to it and I’ve watched a fair bit of ‘Soccer’ in recent years so I thought I would do a season preview. I will give a bit of a background to football in America and then provide a short profile of all 20 teams with a season prediction. This is the 20th anniversary of MLS. Football in the USA has a longer history than most people give it credit for. This year actually marks the 37th year of a national league and surprisingly the 103rd year of football governed by FIFA in America. Firstly, 2015 sees 2 new franchises in Orlando City..

Cheltenham Stats and Trends - What Are They Really Worth?
Well, it is the time of year when I break left from the charging herd and run towards the same target from a different direction. In the wilds of the betting jungle, maybe that leaves me vulnerable to a predator....
