Football League Play-Off Finals Weekend - May 23rd to 25th The Football League Season started way back on Saturday 9th August 2014 and the 72 teams which form the football league all set out knowing they faced 46 intense, competitive league games spread over 10 months to give everything, to fight for their lives and to fight for success. That intensely demanding 10 month period came to an end for all 72 league teams on May 2nd and for 60 of those teams that was that, the season was finished and it was time to reflect, to rest and get ready for the next new season. However for 12 of those teams, the 4 who finished 3rd to 6th in the Championship, the teams who finished 3rd to 6th in League 1 and and the 4 teams who finished 4th to 7th..
DeGale v Dirrell - Saturday - Sky Sports
by FrankieMonkhouse on 22 May at 13:18
Londoner James DeGale gets the chance to add his name to the growing number of British world champions when facing Andre Dirrell for the vacant IBF super-middleweight crown on Saturday. Boston’s Agganis Arena provides the backdrop and British fight fans can follow all of the action live on Sky Sports from 8.00pm. 29-year-old James DeGale may duck between the ropes for the biggest night of his 21-bout career as the away fighter with the crowd dead against him but ‘Chunky’ is no stranger to playing the pantomime villain and will see this as the perfect opportunity to finally win the hearts of boxing fans back on home soil. The man from Harlesdon certainly isn’t here by fluke either with 20 wins, 14 by KO, earning him a clutch of honours including British, European and WBC Silver straps during a six-year career...
SUPER LEAGUE - ROUND FIFTEEN
by wildbillsghost on 21 May at 18:37
Thursday May 21th 2015 CASTLEFORD TIGERS vs. HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS 8pm KO Both the Tigers and the Giants will be looking to bounce back after disappointing cup exits last week. As Super League returns, and we are now into the second half of the season, both teams are well placed in the terrific looking battle to a top four place. Giants are currently holding pole position on the prized fourth place, but, Castleford are just one point behind and a win here will help them to leapfrog into that play-off spot. But, as said, both need to come out fighting after departing the Challenge Cup with a whimper last time out. Cas lost to Hull FC for the first time in five games, though to be..

LEICESTER v Queens Park Rangers. Premiership May 24th.
by davidg3907 on 22 May at 14:19
RECOGNITION OF JAMIE VARDY'S ENGLAND CALL UP Congratulations to Jamie who has progressed from non league football in 2011/12 with Halifax ( 3 goals in 4 games ) and Fleetwood ( 36 goals in 40 games ) helping Fleetwood take the Conference title with 103 points and promotion to the Football League, to being called up to the England squad at the culmination of what has been a fantastic three years at Leicester. As the first £1m transfer from a Conference club, what a bargain he is proving to be. He was voted Leicester’s Player of the season by his team mates last season. Possibly close to a repeat this season, he was beaten to it by no less than the legendary Esteban Cambiasso and whilst being a bit naïve at Premiership level initially, he has adapted very well. His pace..
BMW PGA Championship Preview

Jimenez to Jig his Way Around Wentworth The European Tour has its flagship event this week with the BMW PGA Championship from Wentworth. Going for the double double this week will be Rory McIlroy who won last week at Quail Hollow in the US and also defends the title he won here last year. Funnily enough the tee-off times are the same as the UK and are at 7am on the 21st May. Unusual for modern events as well everyone will tee off from the first hole rather than the modern trend of splitting the field with the 10th tee. The Course & Past Winners The West course at Wentworth has been used since 1984 for this event and was also the previous host of the World Matchplay Championship although that ceased in 2007. However there were some major changes..

For yet another Grand Slam we are back with one of our most popular prediction blogs. Back in January, our Australian Open edition accumulated more than 3400 visits and while we could have done better with our selections, the feedback was again positive all over the board. Hopefully this time around we can also hit a few more winners or value selections as the format remains the same with our panel looking firstly at the most likely ATP and WTA Champions and then offering selections for most likely players to either surprise pleasantly or totally disappoint at the red clay in Paris. The panel consists of several people with now proven record here at OLBG. The initiator Botev1921 is OLBG member since 2011 with more than 4000 forum posts and numerous solid results on the OLBG tennis competitions. Joining him is..
