MLB Review - We 25.04.15
by undertherobe on 26 Apr at 10:15
Another busy week in baseball and although early days, the American League in particular is shaping up to be as close as it’s been in years with no Division separated by more than two games after three weeks of the season. This week, I’ve reviewed my hot pitcher picks from last week, added a note about the upstart Cubs, picked another three pitchers to watch and picked two must watch series’ in the week ahead. Picks Review To say the first week of the hot pitcher segment was disappointing is an understatement. It was looking good after 7 innings of the Oakland vs Kansas City game last week as Oakland led a fractious game 2-1. However, Scott Kazmir then gave up his 2nd run of the game to finish with a line of 7.1 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 5 SO before..
The Championship League, with two games remaining.
by meoldmate on 22 Apr at 19:16
THE CHAMPIONSHIP LEAGUE Since the start of this season, we have seen seven football clubs gracing the top spot in the Championship, with this position looking too hot to handle, with these teams taking their turns to be top. The seven teams Blackburn Bournemouth Nottingham Forest Norwich Watford Derby Middlesbrough Blackburn kick start the season off with top place, only to last a day to Bournemouth, this was the first and last time, The Rovers held this lucrative position, with them playing the day before and drawing 1-1 at home. When the rest of the Championship played on the Saturday, they slipped down to eleventh place, with Bournemouth marshalling the main position in the league. Team Matches Played Won Draw lost goals Goals Against Points Bournemouth 1 1 0 0 4 0 3 Watford 1 1 0 0 3 0 3 Middlesbrough 1 1 0 0 2 0 3 Millwall 1 1 0 0 2 0 3 Nottingham Forest 1 1 0 0 2 0 3 Ipswich 1 1 0 0 2 1 3 This was the look after one game, surprisingly to see Millwall gracing a play off zone position, now look, struggling to stay in the Championship. Bournemouth held this position until the 19th August, when..

by FrankieMonkhouse on 26 Apr at 22:02
Undoubtedly the most talked about match-up in recent boxing history goes ahead at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas on May 2nd when Floyd Mayweather Jnr and Manny Pacquiao finally lock horns. Some battles are bigger than titles and this is certainly one of those contests but, as well as the bragging rights and tag of the greatest fighter of his generation, WBC,WBO and WBA world honours are on the line and British fans can follow every blow live on Sky Sports Pay-Per-View. So it’s the fight every fan wanted to see and although there’s an argument for it happening a year or two too late, come the first bell a record crowd will be glued to the action. So who is your winner? Well it seems to have split opinion like no fight before but bookmakers certainly appear to have their..

Betting on bookings; the card markets & the impact of the referee
by bobslay13 on 24 Apr at 23:04
Betting on bookings Who doesn't love a good crunching tackle? It's regularly documented that tackling is a dying art in the modern game but the lower leagues in particular are still full of hard hitters and traditional big lumps at centre back that will happily take a player clean out in order to win the ball. The Premier League still has it's fair share to offer and betting on bookings in the top divisions is something that's seen a big increase recently. The sports betting industry is ever-expanding and one type of market that seems to have grown substantially in the last year or so is the bookings bet. Previously we had just red cards and a spread of booking points to bet on with most bookmakers but these days you can find a whole host of markets to play with ‘til..
F1 - Early Season Report
by Ralfie1982 on 24 Apr at 23:32
I thought I would give a little early season review as we head to a small break before the races head over to Europe and start at Barcelona. So to the Teams :- Mercedes : Grade B+ I suspect I am not the only person who has been a little surprised at the apparent lack of development from last season and through out the close season, There are some gremlins still we saw it with breaking Last time out. They are still the fastest and I still think they will win the Drivers and the Constructors but I have been a little disappointed at this early stage how close the competitors are : Ferrrari Grade A- Really impressed with the steps Ferrari have taken, not only have they caught up to be closer with Mercedes they have also come from a long way..
