Norwich City V's Crystal Palace - 8th August 3pm KO
by Ralfie1982 on 30 Jul at 20:35
Norwich v Crystal Palace Delighted to be asked to give my view on CPFC matches as they come up. I will try to be factual and matter of fact as best I can but I make no apologies if occasionally my heart will rule my head. So here is my first one, please let me know what you think and if you want to know anything else. Some History / Match Stats Under 2.5 goals in last 4 meeting of the two clubs. Norwich have won 10 of the 23 times they have met at Carrow Road 7 Draws and 6 losses make up the remainder. Dont take pre-season to seriously CPFC (and I think NCFC) have put mixed teams out. Palace conceded plenty from set pieces under Pardew - NCFC have plenty of big forwards (and CB's) such as Hooper,..
Who’ll win the 2015/16 Skybet League Two?
by bobslay13 on 29 Jul at 22:31
Who’ll win the 2015/16 Skybet League Two? 2 weeks to go until the first round of league fixtures in the 2015/16 season get underway; a good time to start trying to predict who’s going to win the divisions of the Football League. Many teams are still pretty under-staffed but most are starting to take shape and have the spine of their side sorted so I think we can make pretty logical predictions now. I’ll be looking at League Two in the next week or so but this episode I’m focusing on League One. League Two So, who are the main competitors? I’m not going to look at every side in the league. Nor am I looking at who might clinch promotion because that means a chunky review of at least half the division; rather I’m going to look at a handful of teams..

The Stewards Cup is the biggest handicap race run at the 5 day Glorious Goodwood meeting, the race takes place on the Saturday, the final day of the meeting and is run over 6 furlongs. Many horses who took part in the Wokingham Handicap over the same distance at the Royal Meeting often take their chance here. Richard Hughes (pictured) is the most winning jockey with 4 wins after riding Intrinsic to victory last year How will he fair this year on his final ride in the race before he retires to get ready for his forthcoming training career. As usual, i have looked at the last 10 runnings of the race and looked at the following trends - Age, Weight, Official Rating, Last Time Out, Last Run, Year Runs, Year Wins and Draw Any horse scoring a 10 will score 5 points, a 9..

MLB Review - We 25.07.15

Another excellent week in baseball ended with a no-hitter for Cole Hamels in Chicago. Hamels has been the subject of trade rumours for a while now and yesterday may well have been his final appearance in a Phillies uniform. In this week’s blog I look at four pitchers who are hot property this week as the trade deadline approaches, which teams to back and oppose in extra innings and another three pitchers to watch.... Picks Review Zack Greinke continued his remarkable run on Sunday as he outdueled Max Scherzer in Washington to extend his scoreless streak beyond 43 innings and he hasn’t given up a run since June 13th. The Dodgers found some offense against the Washington bullpen and racked up 15 hits in a 5-0 win. Greinke finished with 8 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 11 SO. It wasn’t just Greinke who..
Newcastle And West Ham - Be Careful What You Wish For
by garethp1981 on 27 Jul at 19:10
In the last part of my football blog reviewing the 2014-15 season I wrote about three teams who had bad starts to the season and then managed to turn things around. In this blog I will be writing about teams who did the opposite, a reasonably good start followed by a poor second half of the season. One example of this is Newcastle United who managed to stay in the Premier League in the end with 39 points; but this total does not tell the full story of the season. Alan Pardew left the club officially on the 2nd of January, so the team had played 20 of their 38 games. He left them on 27 points which most people would agree is not fantastic but is far from relegation form (Hull and QPR both had 19 points at this..
