  • Draw/Win vs Win/Win in the Half-Time/Full-Time Market

    bobslay13 on 27 Nov at 13:26

Draw/Win vs Win/Win in the Half-Time/Full-Time Market Half-Time/Full-Time results (a.k.a Double Result) is a market I’ve dabbled with to some extent but not with a great degree of success. I assume that’s the case for most regular punters so I thought I’d do a little investigation to see if I can find out where I’ve been going wrong. I’ve been wondering recently about the seemingly great difference between the odds on teams to be winning at both Half-Time and Full-Time compared to teams to be drawing at Half-Time and Win at Full-Time. The odds obviously vary greatly but most teams priced around 1.5 to win a game will be Even money to get the Win/Win result. However, those odds are greatly increased if you opt for the Draw/Win result; usually around the 3.0 mark. For teams around 2.0 to win in the…

Manchester City v Southampton, Saturday 28th November (15:00 ko) Firstly, welcome to my blog, my preview on Premier League matches involving my club Manchester City. Our 14th game see's us play host to Ronald Koeman and his impressive Southampton side at the Etihad. After a tough start to their 2015/16 season Southampton have really started to get going and they look more like the side that impressed everyone last season when they managed to finish 7th in the league and get themselves in the Europa League. Saints lost 1-0 to Stoke City last weekend but before that defeat they had gone 8 without loss and that run has seen them jump into the top half of the league. They currently sit in 8th place in the league, ahead of both Liverpool & Chelsea and only a point off 6th…

  • Alfred Dunhill Championship - South Africa

    Ralfie1982 on 23 Nov at 20:20

It was another good weekend for us on the blog, we saw Andy Sullivan at 80/1 just get pipped into place money (which was still a nice return but could have been a monster). We also got another winner, Kevin Kisner at the RSM won by 6 shots at 20/1 and should never have been at that price. So well done if you got on. With the European and Challenge Tour now on their winter end of season break, I expect to see a couple of the key players appear on other events such as this and the US Tour. We have on face value a very competitive field here, with some of the top players from The Challenge Tour competing who will I am sure give some of these a run for their money. The Courses & Stats $1.5m Prize…

  • Outrights Review - Serie A Winners betting tips

    ibfm23 on 25 Nov at 05:17

2015 has been a good but very busy year for me. Work pressures and a toddler in the house have taken over which meant less time for football and betting. I have been slowly (and painfully) training my body to require less sleep so hopefully you'll be seeing more of me in the near future. The Liverpool blog registered a 7% loss to date. The Reds are as unpredictable as an earthquake and the losses could have been higher had in not been for some 'hedge' bets; vide the 0-0 correct score tip against Spurs - http://www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=409902. I expect blog performance to improve as we move ahead so stick in please :). With a third of the season gone, it's a good time to review the early season outright bets. Serie A Winner Original - http://www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=409308 Amendments - http://www.olbg.com/blogs/post.php?id=409646 My original tip, Inter…

  • Coral Welsh Grand National Big Race Trends - An Alternative Approach

Robmull on 28 Nov at 19:40

The Coral Welsh Grand National is a Grade 3 Handicap Chase which is run over 3 miles, 5 furlongs and 110 yards at Chepstow racecourse and is scheduled to take place on Sunday, 27 December, although it should be noted that twice during the past decade the race has been rescheduled to January, due to the course being unfit to race on the original day. The Coral Welsh Grand National always presents a difficult puzzle for punters to assess with an average field size of over 18 runners taking part, especially as the last 9 renewals of the race have been run on ground officially described as either soft or heavy, which makes this marathon steeplechase a real test of stamina that only the bravest of horses are capable of winning. At the time of writing this blog, there are…

  • Liverpool vs Swansea - Swans start a tough stretch at Anfield

Epic on 27 Nov at 19:38

Another match and sadly another bad result. The Swans desperately needed a win against Bournemouth, but the game ended with a 2-2 draw. That result leaves Swansea sitting 14th in the table with just 14 points. The worst part of it all? It will be hard to add to that tally before Christmas. A tough fixture list starts on Sunday at Anfield. It will be the first of four against TOP 10 teams. It could turn out to be a really sad festive period for the Jack Army. At least there were some goals last weekend, though. Andre Ayew scored his 6th of the season with a great back heel flick and Jonjo Shelvey got his first from the penalty spot. Hopefully the scoring will continue on Sunday and maybe Jürgen Klopp will still have to wait for his first Premier…

  • College Football Week Thirteen: It's Bedlam in Oklahoma

undertherobe on 26 Nov at 22:34

Are you keeping up? Connor Cook was a game time scratch for Michigan State but the Spartans still pulled off a superb win with their backups. But that still wasn’t good enough to get a place in this week’s top four. Over in Oklahoma, Trevone Boykin was out for TCU but they were just a successful two-point conversion away from upsetting the Sooners on the road and creating even more chaos for the Big 12. As it was, the Sooners escaped with the win and were bumped up to number three in the rankings. This weekend figures to have even more drama with just Rivalry week and the Conference championships to come. MICHIGAN WOLVERINES (10) vs OHIO STATE BUCKEYES (8) If Michigan State win against Penn State then neither of these teams will be going to the Big Ten Championship game.…
