Why UEFA need to act on the minnows
by undertherobe on 18 Oct at 09:57
I like football at all levels and will always try and watch as much as possible from around the world. International football? Well, not so much. I watched the opening minutes of the England vs San Marino game last week and then thought, what’s the point? England are clearly going to win whether it’s 1-0 or 8-0 and there is absolutely nothing a team like England can learn against countries such as San Marino and surely it’s now time for UEFA to act. I do like the fact that both FIFA, UEFA and the remaining football confederations ensure that all countries, no matter how weak, have the chance to qualify for the major tournaments but the European qualifying event is ridiculous in that it brings together all 54 countries into one big event. We have clear minnow such as Malta, Liechtenstein,..

West Ham United v Manchester City, Saturday 25th October (12:45ko) Preview Firstly welcome to my blog and my preview on Premier League matches involving my club Manchester City. This week I'll be writing about our 9th Premier League match, our opponents are East London's finest, West Ham United. This is my personal favourite when it comes to London away days, West Ham have a great support that has always come across to me as very normal and down to earth support, that can't be said of the support for some of their London neighbours and I can honestly say that no matter the result I've always enjoyed my trip to Upton Park as a visiting fan. The 3 time FA Cup winners have a generally local fan base that's large in numbers and loyal. They maintain this..

Brazilian Serie A end of season predictions
by Loukaini on 20 Oct at 18:52
The Brazilian Serie A is coming to a close soon, so now is the time to study forms, and look for potential league winners and relegation battles. The Série A is closing on the 7th of December and the battles at both ends of the table are about to get even hotter. At the time of writing, most teams have played 29 games of their allotted 38; with 27 points still on offer from the remaining 9 games, and with both ends of the table being extremely tight, everything can still change. There are just about 1/4 of the league games remaining; having a big part of the complete picture in front of us, now is the perfect time to focus on stats and form for the run-in to the end. If you haven’t been a regular spectator of the league, you..
Premier League weekend - statistics, views and selections
by tbuckley on 21 Oct at 23:40
Premier League weekend - statistics, views and selections It was a real delight to have the Premier League back last weekend after what I thought was a rather boring international break and I have to say the Premier League teams certainly delivered on the entertainment front. Sensationally exciting, dramatic matches full of goals, great football, tackles, clearances, penalties galore, last weekend had everything including the sensation Aguero scoring all 4 as City beat Tottenham 4-1 in a great game, Southampton winning 8-0 and the QPR vs Liverpool match producing 4 goals in the last 10 minutes. All of that fantastic, entertaining action from the Premier League matches was just sensational to watch and I'm just hoping for more of the same as the Premier League season continues, starting with the forthcoming Premier League matches set to take place this weekend. The absolute, undoubted..
Boxing Treble - Sky Sports/BoxNation/Ch5
by FrankieMonkhouse on 22 Oct at 21:15
There’s a plethora of live punching this weekend with Sky Sports screening all of the action from Hull while BoxNation set up in Liverpool and terrestrial TV viewers are catered for when the Channel 5 cameras travel to Monte Carlo. The sport is thriving and we aim to make your viewing pay. We offer up a betting tip on each of the channels and start with Sky Sports fantastic Saturday fight night card at the Hull Arena in Yorkshire where local lad Tommy Coyle faces ring legend Michael Katsidis for the IBF International lightweight title. Hard-hitting Aussie challenger Katsidis is famous for being involved in some fantastic scraps on British soil, not least a brutal third round stoppage win over Kevin Mitchell at Upton Park in 2010. The 34-year-old has lost four of his seven outings since that night however and..
