  • SUPERBOWL 50 - ULTIMATE PREVIEW

Chipmonkadidooda on 01 Feb at 21:05

SUPERBOWL 50 PREVIEW Oh life is short in the NFL. Hardly before it feels like the season has started and here we are in the first week of February already! 266 games gone, a load of teams saying could’ve should’ve and after simply too many ‘was it a catch or wasn’t it a catch’ plays later we come to this: the 50th instalment of Superbowl. We’ve seen the incredible become the normal again it seems in the NFL this season. Odell Beckham Jr and a whole host of other protagonists making one handed catches; Aaron Rodgers throwing 60 yards into the endzone for a game winning Hail Mary; 4 teams unbeaten right through until nearly Christmas and then there’s Peyton Manning breaking the all-time passing yardage. Yep, just your normal run of the mill NFL. I urge anyone who’s not yet…

  • In Form Trainers - 1 to 7 February 2016

Robmull on 31 Jan at 12:36

The purpose of this blog is to highlight trainers in Britain that are currently in good form based on a minimum of 5 winners at a strike rate of 20% or more and have recorded a level stake profit across all of their runners during the last 14 days up to the close of racing on Saturday. In addition, I will endeavour to list where these trainers have horses entered at racecourses over the forthcoming week where the trainer has been profitable to follow since the start of 202 and will also highlight any jockeys that have been profitable to follow when teaming up with our in form trainers, during 2015/16. There is an old saying that states that success breeds further success and whilst most training stables come in and out of form during the year, it often pays…

  • Racing At Meydan Preview - 4 February 2016

Robmull on 02 Feb at 15:19

The purpose of this blog is to provide readers with information in relation to speed ratings and running styles for the declared runners, plus draw and pace biases for the track, which I hope will provide us with some good priced winners during the afternoon. Having reviewed my betting records for Meydan during the 2015 Carnival, I realised that my wagers in the turf races were exceptionally poor, whilst profits were reasonable in the races on the dirt track. Therefore, I have decided that I will focus both my regular blogs and personal betting on the dirt races for the rest of the Carnival. This scenario has continued during the first 4 weeks of the 2016 Carnival, whereby the main and first alternative selections have provided 9 winners from 30 wagers (15 races) for a LSP of 8.96 pts. This…

  • Trying To Understand The Cheltenham Gold Cup Market

    Gman84 on 03 Feb at 01:38

With roughly six weeks to go until the greatest show in National Hunt racing takes over all our lives for four days of thrills and spills I've spent a lot of time following the ante post market for the main event - The Timico Gold Cup. With Coneygree's victory in the race as a novice last year as well as the runner up (Djakadam) and 3rd place (Road To Riches) also showing that they belong it seemed that they would be able to go forward and join two exciting novice chase winners (Vautour in the JLT and Don Poli in the RSA) in forming a new set of dynamic jumping heros who could bring us a Gold Cup for the ages. It gets even better when Don Cossack - 3rd in the Ryanair at the festival - then took apart…

  • Canelo-Khan

bitmoretechnical on 02 Feb at 17:46

Wow! Huge fight. And even more interesting because it came out of the blue. The first thing to note is that this is for Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's middleweight world title. That should mean a weight limit of 160lbs but Canelo has always arranged a catchweight of 155lbs when he has competed in this division. The same is true this time. The weight will be a big deal for Khan. He has only had three fights at 147lbs and prior to that he always competed in lighter divisions. Instinctively it seems like the wrong idea to put on loads of weight above his natural physique - Mayweather never did it and Mayweather beat Canelo. The initial thought of most people is that Canelo will steam-roller Khan. The Mexican does have serious power but it is more concussive than explosive and he has…
