Emirates Australian Open Preview
by jimmywomble on 25 Nov at 23:40
Nitties to Upstage Big Names at Australian Open There’s a move to Sydney this week for the Australian Tour as they combine with the OneAsia Tour for the Emirates Australian Open. Last year this was the final leg of the Triple Crown and Adam Scott was denied taking the Crown by Rory McIlroy on the very last hole. That was at the Royal Sydney GC but this year it moves away from Sydney Harbour down towards Botany Bay and the Australian GC which has hosted this event several times in the past, most recently in 2004 & 2007. It’s an early evening start UK time around 7.45pm on Wednesday 26th November. The Course & Past Winners Its 110 years since the Australian Open was first held and the winner then was the Honourable Michael Scott. It too was..
College Football - Week Thirteen Peview
by undertherobe on 21 Nov at 14:37
Back to winning ways for the blog last week with yet another 2-1 week and it’s now 9-5 over the past five weeks. Alabama never looked like losing at home to no.1 ranked Mississippi State and they came with 15 seconds of covering the spread. Florida State produced yet another comeback win whilst Georgia completed my winning week by stomping all over Auburn. In my season preview (view it HERE) I backed Oregon and Oklahoma to win the National Championship. Oklahoma won on the road at Texas Tech to sneak back into the rankings at no. 20 but at 7-3 their hopes of reaching the playoffs are over. The same can’t be said of Oregon who had a week off last week and remained at no.2 in the rankings. Win their final two games and the Pac-12 Championship and they’ll..

Saunders v Eubank - Saturday - BoxNation
by FrankieMonkhouse on 24 Nov at 09:45
One of the most talked about domestic fights in recent years goes ahead in London on Saturday when unbeaten pair Billy Joe Saunders and Chris Eubank Jnr clash for British, Commonwealth and European middleweight titles. It’s an old cliché in the fight game, somebodies ‘0’ has to go, but don’t we just love it! BoxNation screen all of the action live from the ExCel Arena and bookmakers give fans the chance to back their opinions up with a bet. This fight has split opinion right down the middle and odds compilers have taken up their position on the fence with little to separate the warring pair in the betting. 25-year-old Billy Joe Saunders signed professional terms with promoter Frank Warren after a hugely impressive career in the amateur ranks which culminated with an appearance at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing...

WEST HAM UNITED v Newcastle United
by redhammer on 26 Nov at 10:27
West Ham United v Newcastle United 29-11-2014. 15.00. The Boleyn. A West Ham Preview Last Time Out Everton 2-1 West Ham United The Game Well hidden but rumors grew on Saturday that West Ham were missing players and indeed they were as Song, Valencia, Kouyate, Sakho and Downing were all ruled out, 5 first choice, not first team, but first choice players were out with the latter (Downing) now in the middle of a row between club and country as legal action is being considered. Nolan returned to the starting eleven which many feared and Carroll started with just 2 minutes of premier league action under his belt this season. We started well and Amalfitano missed a decent chance after good work by Jenkinson, who put in more crosses on Saturday than the whole Arsenal team did later on against Man Utd. However it was..
