Who'll win the 2015/16 Skybet League One?
by bobslay13 on 27 Jul at 20:48
Who’ll win the 2015/16 Skybet League One? 2 weeks to go until the first round of league fixtures in the 2015/16 season get underway; a good time to start trying to predict who’s going to win the divisions of the Football League. Many teams are still pretty under-staffed but most are starting to take shape and have the spine of their side sorted so I think we can make pretty logical predictions now. I’ll be looking at League Two in the next week or so but this episode I’m focusing on League One. League One So, who are the main competitors? I’m not going to look at every side in the league. Nor am I looking at who might clinch promotion because that means a chunky review of at least half the division; rather I’m going to look at a handful of teams..

The Southampton Perspective - Saints Premier League Preview 15/16
by danbradley on 26 Jul at 11:27
The new season is near and excitement is building ahead of another Premier League campaign. Fans up and down the country will be wondering how their sides will get on after a long summer with little in the way of footballing action. While there will be plenty of attention on the fight at the top and whether a rejuvenated Man Utd and an Anglicised Man City can compete with Chelsea at the top, or whether Arsenal can continue their upward trajectory and mount a title challenge. At the bottom, Bournemouth, Watford and Norwich will be hoping to survive a difficult first season in the top flight, while others who struggled through last season will be hoping to avoid a similarly turbulent year. My focus here is on my team, Southampton, and how we will fare in an exciting year for..
Champions & Europa League 3rd Qualifying Round
by undertherobe on 27 Jul at 22:48
this summer, I’ve written a couple of blogs previewing the first and second qualifying rounds of the Champion League and Europa League with the idea of looking at those teams making their first competitive appearance of the season. We’re now at the third qualifying round of European Competition and with the start of the major European Leagues just around the corner, this will be the last instalment of these blogs until next season. I believe that there is plenty of money to be made from these early season matchups if you know where to look and the first two blogs have shown some positive results.... Results so far Europa League 1st Qualifying Round, 1st Leg Atlantas +1.00 @ 10/11 vs Beroe Stara Zagora : Atlantas 0-2 Beroe Stara Zagora Jelgava +1.50 @ 13/14 vs Litex Lovech : Jelgava 1-1 Litex Lovech NSI Runavik +1.25 @ 4/5..
Thoughts on the Premiership Title
by meoldmate on 24 Jul at 12:14
THE PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALL LEAGUE Possibly the best league in the world, where many clubs can be found fighting out the finish for the title. This Premiership League can be split into three tiers, as we all know what team could finish where in being three places either way of being close. Splitting the league into three tiers, I will use television programmes to place the teams under, which could underline their status. DALLAS Arsenal Chelsea Liverpool Manchester City Manchester United Tottenham Hotspurs. DALTON ABBEY Crystal Palace Everton Southampton Stoke City Swansea West Bromwich Albion West Ham United HOME AND AWAY Aston Villa Bournemouth Leicester City Newcastle United Norwich Sunderland Watford The reason for calling the first group Dallas, the money teams, they have floating accounts that other enterprising teams or companies dream of. The second group, are the clubs that have both upper and lower class players, just like the standards of this programme with “My lord” and “Mr”. The last group, called “home and Away”,..
Premiership Transfer Window Winners
by botev1921 on 22 Jul at 12:26
The new season in England is drawing closer and while there is still good enough time for teams to improve, sign and release players, the picture is already getting clearer in terms of who will be the biggest winners and losers of the summer transfer window. As usual, there are those who have pretty much unlimited resources and can benefit from representing a huge brand to attract basically whoever they want and the other bunch, who need to either sell in order to keep their finances in tact or just look at the less-known leagues and players in hope they can discover a gem to shine in this very competitive league and hopefully bring them a few more wins. In this blog of mine, I will take a quick look at who I consider are the biggest winners in terms..
