Miss Lucinda Russell Stable Runners To Follow (part Five)
by meoldmate on 28 Nov at 23:00
This Friday we see two more of the Miss Lucinda Russell horses to follow with the selected few from this stable. CLONDAW KNIGHT Five year old who made a good impression, when appearing at Kelso and winning a novice handicap chase by four lengths from Surprise Vendor. His jumping was perfect and really a likeable horse to follow. The first of two runners for today, runs at Doncaster and the the other runner from Musselburgh. 1.20 DONCASTER NOVICE HANDICAP CHASE DISTANCE THREE MILES GOING GOOD SEVEN RUNNERS . 1. THE MUMPER just had the two runs this season and looks to be improving each time, made a couple of errors at Taunton on first appearance over fences, if jumping improves, could be worthy of interest. 2. CLONDAW FLICKA stepping up in trip, could be the answer to a big run, as he was staying on..
Coral Welsh National 20 Year Trends
by The Executioner on 27 Nov at 23:02
The Welsh National dates right back to 1895 when it was initially ran at Ely racecourse in Cardiff where it remained until 1939 , following the second World War it was staged at Caerleon and then in 1949 was transferred to it’s current venue of Chepstow. Ran over 3 miles 5 ½ furlongs it is the major staying handicap over the holiday period and is usually ran in the days after Christmas prior to the New Year period. Chepstow is an undulating left handed course that can often test a chaser’s jumping abilty and the required stamina for such a test , particularly if underfoot conditions are on the soft side. Although the race is a handicap there have been a number of winners that have gone on to prove themselves at a higher level , since the 1980’s four..
Can Twitter help our betting in the specials markets?
by drobgod on 03 Dec at 09:57
I have no idea whether the amount of Twitter followers a celebrity has could be a useful guide for us when betting on programmes such as I'm A Celebrity, X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, but after having two winning bets at 16/1 and 5/2 in the last two days, purely down to those statistics, it's certainly something I wanted to look at in more detail. Before the first elimination from I'm A Celebrity I compiled a list of how many followers each participant had on Twitter (see below) and because of the fact that several of the contestants were immune from the first vote-off it meant that Annabel Giles was some 40,000 behind her nearest rival, Alfonso, in the twitter followers stakes. I backed Annabel on this basis to be evicted first and she duly obliged after being in the bottom..
Trainers to follow in December
by Scratville on 29 Nov at 23:01
Christmas is coming fast so lets try and get some spendo and highlight the trainers who make hay at this festive time. This month we have 3 NH trainers, 3 AW trainers and 2 trainers from across the Irish Sea:- NH N HENDERSON (HURDLERS) Not the most original selection but continues to fire out the winners at this time of the year and the fact that he has had a relatively quiet November could bode well for this month. 2009 12/34 35% +£9.33 2010 6/26 23% +£0.85 2011 21/67 31% +£9.44 2012 9/36 25% (£1.80) The amount of winners..
Predicting early Goals in the Lower Leagues of English Football
by man o bong on 30 Nov at 10:45
This is a fairly simple approach to betting on teams to score early in football matches taking place in the lower leagues of English football I know from watching the score on a Saturday afternoon for another approach of backing to lay 0-0 scorelines, that the Premier league especially and the Championship have a high proportion of games where we have to wait some time for the first goal to be scored and whilst that has been successful to a point, although not magically so, I thought I would look at it from the opposite angle and lower down the leagues for sides that seem to get of the mark earlier and regularly. Early Goal Scorers So in this first attempt I am looking for sides, either playing home or away that have shown a penchant for coming out early and getting on..
UK Championship - The OLBG View
by TeddyT on 28 Nov at 14:59
Use OLBG to help you find the winner of the UK Championship The UK Championship is underway in York and the OLBG members have been hard at work assessing the players’ form and analysing all the statistics and have come up with some great bets to win this event. Here are just a few: Tubes 180 Outright Selection: Mark Selby I see great value in the 9/1 available on Mark Selby. Mark won this event last year and comes into this in some fine form. He won a tour event 2 weeks back in Antwerp coming from 3-1 down to beat Ronnie 4-3. He also looked in fine fettle at the Champions of Champions last week reaching the semi finals where he came up against a brick wall in Stuart Bingham, but he played well in defeat. Selby has one of the better records against..
NBA Review - November
by botev1921 on 01 Dec at 14:49
When betting on the NBA one must always know the developments well and if possible monitor as many news articles as possible, especially those involving injuries, team chemistry, trade rumors and overall team dynamics. Since this is a sport where something new is happening every day if not every hour, in my monthly reviews I will try to provide a short summary of how the season progresses and what are the best potential bets at the time. I will single out the most important moments from the previous month and try to come up with predictions on how the following month will pan out, who could potentially struggle and who could end up surprising the specialists. The good, the better and the best In November we had two pretty great stories to supplement the familiar faces on top of the league. The..

Why Cue Card is a steal at 11/4 for the King George
How good is very good? Cue Card, on Saturday, won the Grade 1 Betfair Chase at Haydock by 4 ½ lengths. This, I hope, won’t be news to most readers. In doing so he provided the answer to a long standing...
