  • England's test match tour of Pakistan

    nellberg1 on 29 Sep at 15:42

England travel to Asia to play Pakistan in 3 tests, but the games will be hosted outside of Pakistan due to security risks. They begin their tour with 2 two-day games against Pakistan "A" in Sharjah before taking in 3 tests in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. Itinerary: Tour match - Pakistan "A" v England XI, Sharjah, October 5-6 Tour match - Pakistan "A" v England XI, Sharjah, October 8-9 1st test - Pakistan v England, Abu Dhabi, October 13-17 2nd test - Pakistan v England, Dubai, October 22-26 3rd test - Pakistan v England, Sharjah, November 1-5 A tour to play Pakistan in sub-continent conditions is always a tough task for England. England have historically struggled in these conditions and Pakistan have a team that is built to play on slow, turning tracks. I remember after the euphoria of our Ashes win in 2005 we toured…

  • NFL: International Series Trends

undertherobe on 01 Oct at 22:33

This weekend sees the International Series take centre stage once more in the NFL as Wembley hosts a regular season game for the 9th straight season. Last year was another milestone for the NFL in London as they hosted three games for the first time and the first early morning kick off in the States. It was so successful that all three matches in 2015 will kick off at 9.30am Eastern time and always looking to improve year on year, the NFL have managed to get their first Divisional matchup with an All AFC East clash between the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, whilst later in the year, they will host games on back to back weeks for the first time which will be a real test for the attendance which has topped 83,000 on nine of eleven occasions. So with eight…

  • Formula 1 : Sochi : To Russia with not much love

    Ralfie1982 on 28 Sep at 15:06

Russian Grand Prix Okay, so Vettel didn't quite hold off Rosberg as I expected, but we have had a couple of good weeks and we need to take the rough with the smooth. So to Russia and immediately a word of caution. Last year was the inaurgral event in Russia, and with Mercedes so dominant, it was hard to gauge any sort of form. Whilst Mercedes are generally still class apart, I will urge caution like always until the end of FP2. The Track & Facts Most wins (drivers) Lewis Hamilton 1! Most wins (constructors) Mercedes 1! Circuit length 5.853 Best current river records Hamilton 1! Laps …

  • Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

    Ralfie1982 on 28 Sep at 14:15

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, is one of the richest golf tournaments on the European Tour. It is played in October, on three different links courses, centred on the "home of golf", St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. The tournament is a pro-am, with the format based on the long-running United States PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am held annually since 1937 (except during World War II), where each team consists of one amateur and one professional. The three course rotation consists of The Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie Golf Links and Kingsbarns Golf Links. The 54-hole cut is made of the top 60 professionals and the leading 20 pro-am teams, regardless of the professional member of the team making the individual cut. These players and teams advance to the final round at St Andrews. The Courses & Stats…

  • Premiership Elite In Crisis - Man City & Chelsea analysis

    botev1921 on 28 Sep at 22:11

Almost two months into the new season and the situation in the Premiership is really odd to say the least. The early season results of the perceived top favourites leave so much to be desired that people must really wonder if the most expensive league in the world is actually getting interesting with the so-called quality gap slowly being erased. While in previous years the first couple of months basically paved the way for the eventual champions and contenders with form and performances making it easy for punters to guess how things would develop, the mixed signals we are getting from the usual suspects actually make us wonder if for once we are going to see teams with much less spending power and much lower profile break into top six or even top four. I myself can’t believe that the…

  • Saturday Racing Preview - 3 October 2015 - Final Update

Robmull on 30 Sep at 14:40

Saturday is usually the busiest day of the week in terms of race meetings, attendance at race meetings swelled by occasional racegoers enjoying a good day out and betting turnover, as once a week punters try to find the winners of the races that they are able to watch on terrestrial TV. In general, the races that are covered by Channel 4 on Saturday are often the most valuable and competitive events of the week and as such are the most complex to analyse. In addition, many Saturday punters that I know struggle to find sufficient time to fully analyse all of the data that is available in the media, prior to making their selections, as they find they are under time restraints due to competing home and/or work commitments. Speaking from personal experience, I have lost count of the…

  • NFL EXPERTS PICKS 2015-16 - Week 4 NFL Picks!

Chipmonkadidooda on 01 Oct at 21:06

NFL EXPERTS PICKS - WEEK 4   Normality resumed last week then. Phew! After the shenanigans of week 2 we could all give out a collective sigh of relief as we were back to winning ways and not collectively doubting our skills within the NFL experts market. In fact, better than that it was a pretty decent turn of events with LAZARUS76 picking 15 of the 16 games correctly last week. Well done Loz! It’s a sad tale to tell then when I have to report that those pesky Cleveland Browns absolutely let the side down last week as they failed to tie up the game at the death at home to the Raiders and force overtime to at least give us a shot at clinching our first accumulator of the season. All the rest of our unanimous consensus picks last week came…
