by jimmywomble on 19 May at 23:29
Moving to Tanihara to Win in Japan Another event on the Japan Tour that moves from course to course, it is the Kansai Open Golf Championship. The event was held until 1991 when it was dropped from the schedule, but returned in 2009 with Koumei Oda winning at the Rokko CC last year. This year it will be from the Meishin Yokaichi CC in Shiga, the course actually hosted back in 1981 where Akio Kanemoto was the victor. Japan it is 8 hours ahead of the UK and so this will start at 11pm UK time, on the 20th May. The Course & Past Winners The Shiga Prefecture is between the cities of Nagoya and Kyoto, next to the Biwa Lake. The Meishin Yokaichi CC is a few miles from the lake near the city of Higashiomi, just..
Stanley Cup playoffs Conference finals thoughts and bets
by Epic on 16 May at 15:21
A month from now we will probably know who's the new Stanley Cup champion. Four teams continue the journey towards the coveted trophy. Half of the Conference finals, which start tonight, is made up of teams that were also there last year as the New York Rangers and Chicago Blackhawks try to fight off the challenges of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Anaheim Ducks respectively. I have so far correctly predicted all the previous series winners (read round 1 HERE, round 2 HERE) and hopefully I will manage to keep the run going. New York Rangers vs Tampa Bay Lightning The Rangers have made it to the Conference finals the second year in the row, whilst the Lightning has made it this far just the third time in its history. It's a fascinating matchup as the two have played quite similar..
Newcastle United v West Ham United
by redhammer on 18 May at 22:24
Newcastle United v West Ham United LAST GAME OF THE SEASON-LIVE ON SKY SPORTS 24-05-2015. 15.00. St James Park. A West Ham Preview Last Time Out The Game West Ham 1-2 Everton The first half was a bit bland for the journalists with little goal mouth action but the talking point came when Coleman blocked Cresswells cross with his arm but the penalty claim was waved away. An early yellow card for Reid put Everton 1 up on the journey for Fair Play but McCarthy and Coleman put the Hammers 2-1 up. HT 0-0 The game kicked into life a little in the second half as both sides started to attack more without hitting top gear. On the 62nd minute a nice 1-2 with Song and Downing saw the latter curl it past Howard and put the Irons 1 up. 5 minutes later though and Leon Osmas made..
Premier League Darts - Finals Night - Thoughts from OLBG members
by Micko70 on 20 May at 13:11
The Premier League Of Darts reaches Finals Night on Thursday 21st May, this takes place at the O2 in London Each week, 4 OLBG members (Myself, Bobsselections, Scratville & Chimaira) have given their thoughts and bets on the 5 matches taking place that week FINALS NIGHT Dave Chisnall v Gary Anderson Michael Van Gerwen v Raymond Van Barnevald Chimaira Dave Chisnall v Gary Anderson Dave Chisnall has been consistently better and the leagues most suprise package this year playing some cracking darts. Gary Anderson is throwing ok, However he is there for the taking. He may up his game as he does for big occasions but the momentum and form lies with Chizzy at 6/4 it is very tempting however im sure both players will give each other a run for there money. Giving Chizzy a leg advantage here at a nice price indeed. Dave Chisnall +1.5 Leg..
The Derby Trends (Early Look)
by Micko70 on 17 May at 13:15
The Derby is the richest race run in Britain and is the highlight of any 3yo's career, the race is run at Epsom racecourse and is run over 1m 4f & 10yds, many horses will be tackling this distance for the very first time. The winner of the 2,000 Guineas would need to run in this race and won if they wanted to achieve the Triple Crown, which culminates in the St Leger later in the season. The Derby has been run since 1780 but wasn't run over 1 mile 4 furlongs until 1784. Workforce holds the record for the quickest derby win in 2010 when winning in a time of 2m 31.33 seconds whilst Shergar in 1981 holds the record winning distance of 10 lengths. I have looked at the last 10 runnings of the race and have looked at the following trends,..
Football League Play-Off Finals Preview
by bobslay13 on 20 May at 13:05
Wembley Awaits The hard work began way back in the July 2014 pre-season for the whole of the Football League but for 6 sides it is only just finishing. The Play-Off Finals are a culmination of 48 gruelling games of football and in the end it’s all or nothing. Win at Wembley this weekend and the season was a success, lose and it’s back to the drawing board with a good season simply confined to the record books. It's so far so good for my Play-Offs predictions and tips from my earlier blog; HERE with Wycombe winning at 12/5 away at Plymouth's Home Park and Middlesbrough keeping a clean sheet at the Riverside against Brentford. I tipped Wycombe Wanderers, Swindon Town and Norwich City for Play-Off glory and all 3 have made it to the finals in a bid to land me..
BMW PGA Championship - Wentworth - Alternatives to Rory
by Ralfie1982 on 18 May at 23:31
BMW PGA Championship The Course PAR 72 Tree bloody everywhere so i suspect winner will come from someone who has good driving accuracy The weather is expected to play its part. We have expected rain coming on the Wednesday for most of the day so I imagine the greens will be a touch challenging and looking at the early forcast for later in the week, we can expect some rain each day so I think the surface will change each day. The wind that is also around is expected to drop away over the coming days making it good for the purists amongst us. The Stats 5m (euro) total purse Heavily dominated by the Scots. Since 1998 they have had 5 winners and 5 runners up Held here since 1984 Faldo is the..
