declarations for Tuesday 2.40 handicap at Cheltenham with official ratings over fences
by meoldmate on 24 Feb at 23:10
I will be building this blog on a daily basis 2.40 ULTIMA BUSINESS SOLUTIONS HANDICAP CHASE GRADE 3 DISTANCE 3M 1F OLD COURSE This race is the third on the card for the first day of the festival and the bookies have already placed up the odds for the declared runners for this race, which most punters would of notice and possibly thinking of placing a wager of some sort, with the ruling of non runner no bet, with this, you will know if your selection is withdrawn, your wager is not lost. At this time of process, there are 89 declarations and BET365 have priced up NED STARK at 8/1 or the way down to AMERICAN SPIN at 100/1. With so many declared, how can anyone be capable of pointing out a winner or even a placed selection, as many of these will..
SUPER LEAGUE - ROUND THREE
by wildbillsghost on 26 Feb at 17:20
After last weeks World Club Challenge round of games, which the Aussies ended up winning all three contests, we return to normal Super League service. There are three Sky games this week, with the Catalan game on Saturday afternoon against Warrington looking to be a tasty looking match-up. Thursday 26th February 2015 LEEDS RHINOS Vs HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS It’s been a solid if unspectacular start for the Rhinos, two wins are what counts and that’s exactly what Leeds have. They will be pleased with the second half displays they have put up in both of their opening matches. In week one they conceded 24 first half points, they then conceded another 6 points right at the start of the second period but then proceeded to then shut out Hull KR the rest of the way. Last week they went even better..
Nicky Henderson novice hurdlers to fly Seven Barrows' Cheltenham Flag, but "A Team" Chase more glory!
by Randy Rann on 24 Feb at 20:46
Nicky Henderson media day, gets the Cheltenham Festival juices flowing! A lucky invite as Dean's (Drobgod) wingman was gratefully accepted as the Cheltenham bound charabanc parked itself on the Seven Barrows lawn, as trainer Nicky Henderson opened his doors once again to the media scrum. After ditching the Sat-Nav and following our noses we made it just in time for the parade of stable stars. L'AMI SERGE was first out of the boxes and quite apt too, as the Grade 1 winning novice hurdler gets the ball rolling in the curtain raising Supreme Novice in exactly a fortnight's time. He looked well, but they all did and Henderson was confident he'd run well. He didn't say he was scared of Willie Mullins's hotpot Douvan, but did say he can't worry about what armoury his rival has got and just dream about what's in store for..
Both Teams To Score III; Bobslay13
by bobslay13 on 26 Feb at 16:33
Both Teams To Score Part II which is Redhammer's blog can be found HERE Intro At half time on Saturday (3pm games) things were looking gloomy for our BTTS selections, not many goals going in and it didn't improve after the break, to sum up our luck; in the 22 games in Scotland that kicked off at 3pm...only 4 games saw both sides score!!! After a quick look we realised the 42/1 Acca number 3 was on and it came down to Spain but again lady luck didn't shine for us, after Sundays games and the replay of Sampdoria and Genoa, turns out only Deportivo La Coruna let us down for the 42/1 shot. Frustrating, but we have been encouraged as on Tuesday night we threw a 6 game acca together and only Burton Albion let us down, Burton..
Betbright Grinmthorpe Chase
by Micko70 on 25 Feb at 23:26
The Grimthorpe Chase is a Class 2 Handicap Chase run at Doncaster at either the end of February or the beginning of March. The race used to be run over 3 miles but the race was not run in 2006 & 2007 and when Doncaster brought the race back in 2008, the changed the distance by an extra 2 furlongs, so the race is now run over 3m 2f. The 2015 running is being sponsored by Betbright, who have sponsored quite a few big races recently. As usual, i am looking at 8 trends for the race, they are Age, Weight, Official Rating, Last Time Out, Last Run, Season Runs, Season Wins & Distance Horses will score points depending on how many recent winners passed that trend, any race with a 10 will score 5 points, a 9 will score 4 points, an 8..
The Flyers are flying under the radar
by Epic on 23 Feb at 20:52
As Americans celebrated Hockey Day yesterday, the Philadelphia Flyers cheered after finishing two tough back to back games with a perfect record. They beat the Nashville Predators on Saturday 3-2 with a shootout and then got the better of the Washington Capitals with a 3-2 regulation time win. Two victories against teams, which we will almost certainly see competing in the Stanley Cup playoffs this Spring, has brought the Flyers close to their own playoff spot. The team, which was off pace by 13 points not long ago, is now just four points away from sneaking into the playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. The Flyers started 2015 with a poor run. Having picked up just a point from the last three matches of the previous year, they managed six points from eight matches, picking up four of them after regulation..
Chelsea v Tottenham (Capital One Cup Final)
by mercer on 25 Feb at 10:36
CHELSEA v TOTTENHAM I am looking at the big game the weekend which is the Capital One Cup Final, between Premier League leaders Chelsea & 7th placed Tottenham. Chelsea have won this competition three times since 1998, beating Middlesbrough 2-0, Liverpool 3-2 & Arsenal 2-1. Three of the last four finals Chelsea have played in this competition have gone to extra time & will they need that here ?. Tottenham have had mixed emotion's the last two final's they have competed in this competition, losing to Manchester United on penalties back in 2009 & beat the side they face here Chelsea 2-1 back in 2008. Tottenham also have won two of their last four finals in this competition. Anthony Taylor is in charge of the match & these are his card stats from domestic cup matches the last 5 years including this..
