BetFred Sprint Cup Group 1 Haydock preview
by DAVIDADAN on 01 Sep at 01:16
The Betfred Sprint Cup is a Group 1 flat race for horses aged three years or older. It is run annually at Haydock Park over a distance of 6 furlongs. Currently John Gosden is the Leading Trainer - 4 Winners and Sheik Mohammed is the Leading Owner - 4 Winners Alas this race comes too soon for Muhaarar from the prestigious stable of Sheik Hamdan Al Maktoum whose three time Gp1 winner Charlie Hills will most likely see that he heads to Champions Day at Ascot or maybe later America beckons in the Breeders Cup Mile, please do keep that one on side where ever he goes, do note his previous wins and discount future progress at your peril the latter option seems folly to ignore! From my Ante Post thoughts Henry Candys Limato would have been my first choice however I can,t..

Premier League 2015/16 weekend 4 Statistical Review + Updated Overall figures It has been truly fantastic to have domestic football back, the first few weeks have just been absolutely brilliant with the Premier League proving great goals and entertainment. In this blog I'm going to look at some facts and figures from last weekend in the Premier League, indeed I'll endeavour to do my best to do this as often as possible :- Total Goals Scored The 10 Premier League matches played produced a total of 21 goals, at an average of 2.1 goals per Premier League game with the highest scoring game seeing 4 goals scored as Villa vs Sunderland finished 2-2 in an early season relegation clash. Overall that's now 98 goals which have been scored in the first 40 Premier League games at an average of..

Champions League 2015/16 - Group by Group Ante-post preview
by tbuckley on 29 Aug at 01:48
Champions League 2015/16 - Group by Group Ante-post preview The impending break for International football after this latest round of domestic fixtures means there is no Premier League action to cover for 2 weeks and now seems an excellent time to go through the Champions League from an ante-post perspective by looking at each Group. Tuesday 15th September is the start date for another Champions League group stage campaign with 8 groups of 4 teams set for what will hopefully be a Champions League to the incredible standard we've seen in the competition, it seems to get better every year and hopefully that will continue. Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan hosting the UEFA Champions League final on 28 May 2016 is the ultimate target for the 32 teams that line up this season to take their chance in the Champions League, the..

by Scratville on 01 Sep at 02:01
A fantastic August means we are close to +£100 LSP for the year and with September historically being a profitable month, (+£12 and +£55) in the last two years it's an exciting month in prospect. Ten trainers to follow this month with five returning from last year, the NH trainers look particularly strong this month. FLAT TURF JOHN GOSDEN (ALL) A returnee from last month and last September where he gave us some nice profits. 2010 18/81 22% +£12.77 2011 14/74 19% (£ 1.48) 2012 13/59 22% +£ 6.94 2013 7/49 14% (£ 1.05) 2014 15/60 25% +£40.17 Although we are including all his horse, he does particular well with his two years olds in September. JOHN QUINN (3YO+) North Yorkshire trainer who has appeared on the blog in both guises in the past, just his older horses this month. 2011 1/28 4% ..
Is home advantage disappearing in the Premier League?
by garethp1981 on 30 Aug at 15:28
I am starting this blog with a question, imagine I ask you to take a coin out of your pocket and tell you to toss the coin five times. Each time I the coin lands on heads, I then ask you to toss the same coin a sixth time but before you toss the coin you have to tell me what you think the result will be. What should you say? I will come back to the answer later on. At the time of writing, there have been 38 games played in the Premier League, obviously this is not a huge number, but a surprising trend may be starting to unfold this season and that is the lack of home wins. Usually the home win is the most likely outcome of a game; during the last ten seasons of Premier..
Italian GP - Monza
by Ralfie1982 on 31 Aug at 22:09
Italian Grand Prix So Lewis controlled the race in Belgium (Spa) with out too much problem and as you will see from the comments below we might well see a precesion again here in Italy, but I will put a couple of other tips that might be of value. Ok, on to the race, of the current grid drivers there are only two who have wins here and that is Vettel (3) and Hamilton (2). It is a race that is one of the fastest of the season. New Regulations - Start Proceedure We saw this come in at the Spa grand prix and on face value it appears to have made no major difference, maybe because everyone spent so much time getting it right that time out and I think it will be more apparent this time with a..

Can a bet of the week from each English League make a winning accumulator?
In the past I've rarely dabbled with accumulators as my approach to betting has been the softly softly approach to building up a bank. A quick look through the forum and you'll find a wide range of reasons amongst OLBG...
