Thirsk amatuer race that could be throwing up a couple of winners, to look upon
by meoldmate on 17 Aug at 21:10
Can a horse race workout, with form giving the race in question, positive viewing. The answer, is possibly, “yes”. The trouble is watching for a race to come to hand. I was lucky to spot a race a couple of years ago, which was at Newbury and Captain Bertie was the winner of, the winners that came out of this race was unbelieveable and this covered most of the flat season. It takes time and patience, to spot a race that could be holding up, it could even come out of the blue and not spotted by your good self but somebody else, which can send the brain waves sending messages everywhere. The race, I am going to view, was placed over with information on the discussion page back on the 11th August 2014 for the winner, Dan Emmett, which kindly delivered..

York - 2.30 (20th August) - Acomb Stakes Dosage Profile of 2014 Acomb Stakes contenders in comparison to previous winners of the race Dosage Profile (Brilliant - Intermediate - Classic - Solid - Professional) The dosage profile is a series of five numbers which shows how many points this horse has inherited from their sires in each category. The Brilliant and Intermediate category relate to a horses speed, whilst the Classic and Solid categories relate to stamina Dosage Index - Calculates a ratio of the horses speed to its stamina. The general rule is the higher the number, the speedier the horse. Eg. 2.0 means the horse has twice as much speed as stamina Centre of Distribution - The COD is another indicator of speed and stamina. A positive COD indicates a preference for speed, whereas a negative COD indicates he they have more..
The Ebor Handicap Trends
by Micko70 on 17 Aug at 21:14
The Ebor Handicap is widely regarded as one of the biggest Flat handicaps during the season, it is run at the York 4 day Ebor meeting in August. The race is run over 1m 6f and has been won by some good horses in the past, including Purple Moon (2007), Sergeant Cecil (2005), Quick Ransom (1992), Further Flight (1990) & Sea Pigeon (1979). The winner this year will collect over £160,000, a fantastic prize for a flat race. I am looking at the last 10 years of the race to see if any horses stand out by looking at the trends of those 10 winners. The Trends i am looking at are Age, Weight, Official Rating, Last Time Out, Last Run, Season Runs, Season Wins, Distance, Grade & Field Size There are still 76 horses left in the race, they are - 1-7088 Camborne(7) 6..
2014/15 English Premier League Predictions
by KanKeano on 15 Aug at 15:28
2014/15 English Premier League Predictions The midlands club flirted with relegation last season under two different coaches and were not helped by the Nicolas Anelka saga. In the off-season they've appointed Alan Irvine, one-time assistant to David Moyes, who was last seen at Sheffield Wednesday. An uninspired choice by the West Brom board, he has already admitted that he has had little input into the players the club have bought and has said he's only watched some of them of DVDs. Will be reliant on the goals on Anichebe, Brown & Berahino this season and there are question marks about all three. 19. Crystal Palace Most people will have the Turf Moor outfit to finish bottom this season. After all, they have the smallest playing budget of all and will not spend willy-nilly to stay up. The reason I'm not putting them..
My Top 10 midweek football picks
by tbuckley on 17 Aug at 19:46
My Top 10 midweek football picks After a very busy summer writing and punting on the World Cup followed by a few weeks of intensive ante-post market studying, I took my own much needed pre-season break from writing, betting and computers to re-charge my batteries ready for the long season ahead. The good news is the week away with my family and away from computers has freshened me up completely and now I'm raring to go to get stuck into all the football action and betting now the domestic season has started. My strategy for the first few weeks and months of the season is mainly watch to see how all the teams and players are settling down and betting wise to take things very cautiously in terms of staking and to only have small stakes bets on those teams who have..
La Liga 2014/2015
by Micko70 on 15 Aug at 18:22
Not many people outside of Spain would have thought that neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid would have won the La Liga title last season. Atletico Madrid pipped them both to it by grabbing an away point at Barcelona on the final day of the season. Only 3 points seperated the teams at the end of the season, Atletico finished on 90, with Barcelona & Real sitting behind on 87 points. All 3 teams drew the same amount of games (6), the only difference between the sides was 1 single win, Atletico won 28 matches whilst the other 2 both won 27. Atletico's great strength was in their defence, they only conceded 26 goals, compared to Barcelona's 33 and Real's 38 but they lacked in attack, they only scored 77 goals, which was still by far the 3rd best attack in the league, but fell..
Ebor Festival: Day 1
by mjj000 on 19 Aug at 22:23
Ebor Festival: Day 1 1.55 GOLDREAM (9/1 E/W) and MONSIEUR JOE (22/1 E/W) There is likely to be plenty of pace on here and the consistent Goldream should be right in the mix. A strong travelling type, he chased home the progressive Muthmir in the Skybet Dash here before getting his head in front last time out. Up 4lb but will remain competitive and should be finishing strongly. At a bigger price Monsieur Joe runs well at York and will be well suited by the strong pace. Has won off 100 and ran respectably in better races this season; another who will be doing his best work at the finish. EDIT: Both non runners, alternative selection Move In Time (9/1 E/W) 2.30 BASATEEN (5/2) Full race preview here: Acomb Stakes Preview 3.05 KINGSTON HILL (6/4) Has not managed to get his head in front this..
