The Southampton Perspective: Saints to Shoot Down Swans?
by danbradley on 18 Sep at 09:58
The Southampton Perspective: Saints to Shoot Down Swans? Last week was a very successful one for both me and my team as the Saints marched on to a 4-0 demolition of a poor Newcastle side, with all but one of my pre-match selections coming in giving an LSP of +11.35 - that's the profit you would have made from each pound you put on my tips. A lot of attention has been given to the misgivings of the visitors and the positives from the Southampton performance have almost been overlooked as a result, but, considering the huge turmoil the club went through and the number of new bodies in the team, it must be said that this was a fantastic early result for the Saints and proof that the club have recruited well and got the new players linking up almost..
What is going wrong at Newcastle United
by Micko70 on 14 Sep at 20:56
Over the last few season's they have seemed to struggle since they finished 5th in the 2011/2012 season, as i write this they have yet to win this season and are currently sitting bottom of the Premiership. In the 2011/2012 season Newcastle finished 5th on 65 points, they won 19, drew 8 and lost 11 of their 38 games. They won 11, drew 5 and lost only 3 at home that season, on the road they won 8, drew 3 and lost 8 They scored 29 at home and 27 on the road (56) and conceded 17 at home and 34 on the road (51) Looking at each season since they finished 5th we can see the following - 2012/2013 Newcastle finished 16th on 41 points, with 11 wins, 8 draws and 19 losses, they scored 45 and conceded 68 goals, at home they won..
2014 Ayr Gold Cup Stats And Pointers , Saturday 20/9/14
by The Executioner on 14 Sep at 22:46
The Ayr Gold Cup run over six furlongs is the highlight of the September Western meeting and is one of the last major sprint handicaps of the season. It’s open to three year old and upwards although the younger generation do not have a great record, in fact in the last twenty years only two have been successful. A maximum field of twenty seven can go to post, with those eliminated having the opportunity to take up a place in the consolation races, The Ayr Silver Cup and The Ayr Bronze Cup. It has a long and established history dating back to 1804 when the first race took place. Initially it was contested over two miles at the former Ayrshire track Belleisle, becoming a handicap in 1855, with the distance reduced to a mile in 1870. Belleisle closed in..
Ayr Gold Cup Trends (2 x 33/1 selections)
by Micko70 on 15 Sep at 21:55
The William Hill Ayr Gold Cup is one of the biggest sprint handicaps run over the season, the race is a class 2 race run over 6 furlongs in September. Amazingly, when this race was first run in the early 1800's, it was run over 2 miles, it was then dropped down to a mile in 1870 before dropping to it's current distance of 6 furlongs in 1908. We normally see a huge field in this race, within the maximum amount of runners currently set at 27, we also have the Silver & Bronze Cup's for horses not good enough to run in the Gold Cup or the Silver Cup (Bronze Cup runners) The trends i am looking at this year are Age, Weight, Official Rating, Last Time Out, Last Run & Season Runs Just prior to the 5 day declarations, there were..

NFL EXPERT PICKS WEEK 3 Well it gives me great pleasure to welcome you back to the NFL EXPERT PICKS blog…your weekly one stop shop for NFL guidance right through to February’s big event! Last year this was a hugely successful blog as all your usual NFL commentators formed their own guiding coalition on a weekly basis and they’re back again this year once again. It’s so good to be back again and hopefully together we can come up with more of the usual quick one liners for each and every game throughout the rest of the season, with some informed thoughts on how the games should play out. Last season saw a very good strike rate for the majority of the NFL Experts and many of them out-performed seasoned pros who were giving their own weekly insights on the net on..
