PREMIERSHIP STATISTICS from some different angles - March update.
by davidg3907 on 27 Mar at 14:26
At the commencement of the season I decided to look at some stats from slightly different angles, searching for a profitable trend slightly off the beaten track. The stats will be generic rather than team specific initially but may be segregated later in the season once more data has been collected. At the end of the season some will also be split into Home and Away format. BACKGROUND TO THE STATISTICS During the early part of the campaign a few unexpected results will ( and indeed did ) inevitably occur. Some of those may turn out not to be shocks as the season progresses and form settles but they need to stay in the statistics. However, a few things did come as a surprise. Let’s look at the stats and see what has developed as we are now 3/4 of the way..
Malaysian Grand Prix 2015
by Ralfie1982 on 25 Mar at 21:42
So Formula 1 Race 2. Is it boring? I dont know, will you get rich backing it in the early stages of the grand prix season i very much doubt it. SO! What have we learn't about the teams after race 1? Mercedes are in a League of their own, McLaren are so bad that Alonso might wish he was still unfit to drive, Ferrari look more competitive than expected, and the early season slagging match between Renault and Red Bull has started again. What do we know about the Malaysian circuit? There are two BIG DRS zones close together (the first on the start finish straight before 1st corner and the 2nd on the last straight before the final turn 15), this will point us to the cars with the better top speed such as Mercedes, Williams and Force..

A league table that could be over looked due to its status
by meoldmate on 23 Mar at 21:16
SPFL League Two Here is one league that, many members from South of the border would not really register with, unless the games are of interest when selecting on a football coupon. There are four teams heading for promotion from this league, three with a view of a play off and one Champion. The four teams teams that could be considered for the title are as follows. Stranraer Morton Forfar Brechin I suppose some membres would be of the thinking, who would be interested in this league and these teams. Possibly Scottish folk, who live in other parts of the British Isles and abroad and football fans, who take teams like these four and possibly others under their wing, just for interest. When I was a boy, I was fascinated with Stenhousemuir, possibly by the name and nothing else, as I could not tell you anything about them, I..

The final eight games of the Championship with a conclusion of final top six
by meoldmate on 21 Mar at 00:09
CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE Who is going to win this league? There are so many teams, within a chance of taking the title. With nine games left, plenty of action to come and points to be won and lost, with either improving a position all losing it and possibly automatic promotion. As I am typing this, the top of the Championship looks like this Team Matches Played Won Draw lost goals Goals Against Points Watford 38 22 9 8 78 45 72 Middlesbrough 38 21. 9 8 59 27 72 Bournemouth 38 20 10 8 79 40 70 Norwich 38 19 10 9 73 42 67 Derby 38 19 10 9 69 41 67 Brentford 38 20 5 13 62 50 65 The top seven teams who have over sixty points, with the top three all in the seventies.. If we adapt a league table for home games been played by the top seven, we find a different view of things. Team Matches Played Won Draw lost goals Goals Against Points Middlesbrough 19 12 4 3 37 11 40 Ipswich 19 12 4 3 31 13 40 Watford 19 12 3 4 44 20 39 Derby 19 11. 5 3 41 18 38 Brentford 19 11 3 5 37 22 36 Bournemouth 19 10 6 3 36 21 36 Wolverhampton 19 10 5 4 41 20 35 Norwich 19 9 6 4 41 20 33 Ipswich however, they have a slight chance of winning the Championship, depending on how the clubs above them perform in their remaining games, they do stand a great chance of making a play off position. Away form can cause..
#UFC fight night 63, Mendes vs Lamas fight selections
by tattflash on 27 Mar at 14:27
The next instalment of UFC action comes from Fairfax, Virginia, USA on Saturday 4th April,(Sunday 1 am UK time) and sees two former title contenders facing off against each other. Both Chad Mendes and Ricardo Lamas are both the recent victims of Featherweight king Jose Aldo. It is worth remembering with these fight night cards that upsets are often the norm, and this card looks like it may have one or two on it. Chad Mendes vs Ricardo Lamas Mendes (1/4 UK odds,-450 US odds) has only two losses on his record and both against Aldo. His first fight he was actually winning the round before getting sloppy and knocked out with seconds to spare against the Brazilian. He then went on a five fight win streak before his rematch with the champion, this included 4 KO victories thanks to his..
