by man o bong on 06 Dec at 17:37
The World Cup Finals 2014 draw has taken place at Costa do Sauipe, Brazil on Friday Dec 6 2013 Here I take an immediate look at the draw, the odds and possible bets for the finals. World Cup Finals 2014 Betting Odds Brazil 4.5 Argentina 6.5 Germany 6.5 Spain 7.5 Belgium 17 Holland 21 Italy 23 France 26 Colombia 26 England 26 Uruguay 26 Chile 34 Portugal 34 Russia 81 Bosnia-Herzegovina 151 Ecuador 151 Ivory Coast 151 Switzerland 151 Croatia 151 Ghana 151 Mexico 151 Japan 176 USA 201 Australia 251 South Korea 251 Nigeria 251 Greece 251 Cameroon 301 Iran 751 Algeria 1001 Costa Rica 1001 Honduras 1501 The groups are made up as follows, World Cup Group A Brazil Previous World Cups: 1930, 1934, 1938, 1950, 1954, 1958, 1962, 1966, 1970, 1974, 1978, 1982, 1986, 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010. Key player: Neymar (Barcelona). How they got here: Hosts Where will they finish: I have had Brazil down as winners from a long way out for no other reason than they are a terrific side and have home advantage. The thing that may work against them is actually that home advantage with home support and expectation. If they can overcome that, indeed rise to it, they can get the final Cameroon Previous World Cups: 1982, 1990, 1994,..
First World Cup insights after the group stage draw
by botev1921 on 06 Dec at 23:09
The World Cup might be six months away, but I have learned from previous tournaments that the best value bets are usually available right after the draw is out as long as one manages to come up with accurate conclusions. The draw itself pretty much determines who the bookies consider a bigger favorite based on several aspects, including group difficulty, which groups cross each other and which teams are more likely to come out of their half of the draw into the semi-finals and final respectively. With the odds already moving in different directions, I will try highlight the different potential trends and outcomes of each group and determine which are the real value bets and which could be considered totally unworthy of taking. Overview of the groups Usually the analysts divide groups into easy and difficult or the known cliché “groups..
Can Twitter help our betting in the specials markets?
by drobgod on 03 Dec at 09:57
I have no idea whether the amount of Twitter followers a celebrity has could be a useful guide for us when betting on programmes such as I'm A Celebrity, X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, but after having two winning bets at 16/1 and 5/2 in the last two days, purely down to those statistics, it's certainly something I wanted to look at in more detail. Before the first elimination from I'm A Celebrity I compiled a list of how many followers each participant had on Twitter (see below) and because of the fact that several of the contestants were immune from the first vote-off it meant that Annabel Giles was some 40,000 behind her nearest rival, Alfonso, in the twitter followers stakes. I backed Annabel on this basis to be evicted first and she duly obliged after being in the bottom..
Are Arsenal worth backing?
by Micko70 on 01 Dec at 20:40
As i write this Arsenal are 4 points clear at the top of the premiership, everything looks to be on the up for the Londoners after losing at home to Aston Villa on the opening day of the season. Arsenal took the lead against Villa on the opening day before losing the game 3-1, they then won 4 premier leagues on the trot beating Fulham away (3-1), Tottenham at home (1-0), Sunderland away (3-1) & Stoke at home (3-1). Arsenal also lost at home to Chelsea and away at Man Utd before winning their last 2 league games without conceding a goal. Again, as i write this you can get 11/4 on Arsenal winning the league, on paper that looks a great price with a lead but do they really look that good. SIGNINGS Arsenal only signed 1 player in the summer transfer window, Mezut..
Come Racing " Why Bother '' ?
by The Executioner on 01 Dec at 22:20
It wasn’t that long ago that a certain over the top former Ch4 betting personality screamed COME RACING PUNTERS HAVE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD ; well that comment seems completely inappropriate to me these days. A day at the races can be a really enjoyable time for many of us ; not only can we follow the sport that we love but it’s a nice place to catch up with friends that we haven’t seen for a while ; have a drink possibly and with some luck may be back a winner or two. It all sounds great but from a financial point of view is it actually worth it ? A lot would depend on how close you live to the track as travelling costs can add up to a sizable part of the day’s..
Money to be made on MS Dhoni and co in ODI series in SA
by lb1975 on 05 Dec at 08:47
Even though the BCCI took there time agreeing with CSA, it is finally on. This is number 6th ranked South Africa hosting 1st ranked India. Not too much recent history between the teams as they have only played twice in over two and a half years. India have grabbed the number one ranking in ODI due to their tremendous 2013 form. Winning 13 of 15 games on the road. With match winners on all fronts off their batting lineup they can chase down any score that the opposition put on. As evidenced in the recent home series against Australia. The emergence of superstars in their batting lineup of Shikhar Dhawan (6 top hs from India's last 23) and Rohit Sharma (5 top hs from India's last 18) to compliment the likes of Kohli (17 top hs from India's last 47) and MS..
Weekly Euro Football Predictor - Week 3
by botev1921 on 06 Dec at 00:44
A collective of opinions on the weekends top European league matches. The idea behind the blog is to get differing opinions on the best bets for the best matches in Europe over the weekend from a panel of experts. Each tipster provides their perception of the way the game will pan out and where the value bet in the mass football markets might be. These opinions can be used in any way you wish. You may wish to take one bet where the panel agrees and add that to existing bets you have or mix and match the various European Leagues and make a weekend European accumulators. Or very simply play a point per tip. Because each contributor has a different approach and area they may like to concentrate on, from time to time there may be a conflict of interest with..
