If you like NFL and Football you'll love this - probably!!
by drobgod on 04 Dec at 15:14
Okay let's not take this too seriously, but over the last six weeks or so I've been dabbling with the NFL on a weekend. This new found love for American Football coincided with my wife watching Downton Abbey and Paradise on a Sunday evening and me struggling to remain in the same room with such drivel on in the background. Off I skipped to the bedroom, where I also have Sky Sports installed for such traumatic times as stated above, and tuned in to find around six hours of American Football being streamed live. Now as boring as those period dramas mentioned above are, even I knew I'd have to have a little flutter on the NFL matches to get me through the night and it's because of this I've stumbled across my crazy system. When looking at the NFL..
PDC World Darts Championship
by Hogsback on 04 Dec at 19:22
I still find the PDC World Darts Championship the single most exciting sports event in any year. It is the competition that has it all. The big star, Phil Taylor, always shines brightly having won 14 World Championship titles. This could be his last time in this tournament as he is 53 Years of age now. No Phil Taylor would be devastating and that can be contemplated for another year. He might well go out on a ‘high’ so if he wins it again this year who knows? His hunger does not fade and neither does his eye sight as shown by winning the recent Grand Slam of Darts for the fifth time. Taylor is certainly a phenomenon and a true sporting legend. He is odds-on to win this year, so the bookies are giving nothing away. Taylor’s main rivals..
Money to be made on MS Dhoni and co in ODI series in SA
by lb1975 on 05 Dec at 08:47
Even though the BCCI took there time agreeing with CSA, it is finally on. This is number 6th ranked South Africa hosting 1st ranked India. Not too much recent history between the teams as they have only played twice in over two and a half years. India have grabbed the number one ranking in ODI due to their tremendous 2013 form. Winning 13 of 15 games on the road. With match winners on all fronts off their batting lineup they can chase down any score that the opposition put on. As evidenced in the recent home series against Australia. The emergence of superstars in their batting lineup of Shikhar Dhawan (6 top hs from India's last 23) and Rohit Sharma (5 top hs from India's last 18) to compliment the likes of Kohli (17 top hs from India's last 47) and MS..

Can Twitter help our betting in the specials markets?
by drobgod on 03 Dec at 09:57
I have no idea whether the amount of Twitter followers a celebrity has could be a useful guide for us when betting on programmes such as I'm A Celebrity, X-Factor and Strictly Come Dancing, but after having two winning bets at 16/1 and 5/2 in the last two days, purely down to those statistics, it's certainly something I wanted to look at in more detail. Before the first elimination from I'm A Celebrity I compiled a list of how many followers each participant had on Twitter (see below) and because of the fact that several of the contestants were immune from the first vote-off it meant that Annabel Giles was some 40,000 behind her nearest rival, Alfonso, in the twitter followers stakes. I backed Annabel on this basis to be evicted first and she duly obliged after being in the bottom..
Come Racing " Why Bother '' ?
by The Executioner on 01 Dec at 22:20
It wasn’t that long ago that a certain over the top former Ch4 betting personality screamed COME RACING PUNTERS HAVE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD ; well that comment seems completely inappropriate to me these days. A day at the races can be a really enjoyable time for many of us ; not only can we follow the sport that we love but it’s a nice place to catch up with friends that we haven’t seen for a while ; have a drink possibly and with some luck may be back a winner or two. It all sounds great but from a financial point of view is it actually worth it ? A lot would depend on how close you live to the track as travelling costs can add up to a sizable part of the day’s..
