Is Italy The New England?

 By ibfm23 in Other Football

1 July 2015 05:06

Growing up Italian football dominated the European scene. Sacchi’s and Capello’s Milan, Lippi’s Juventus, Boskov’s Sampdoria; between 1988/89 and 1997/98 these clubs were in 9 out of 10 European Cup / Champions League finals. During the same period Italian sides dominated the then UEFA Cup, landing 13 finalists, 4 times being an all Italian final. As the turn of the millennium approached, English clubs started attracting significant investment and amidst betting scandals and financial woes Italian dominance was overturned.... more

 By Scratville in Horse Racing

30 June 2015 13:43

An awful June means we go into July with a minus LSP for the year. July wasn't kind last year so we have a mostly new set of trainers this July. We are going with 6 flat trainers, 4 NH and one Irish Flat trainer. FLAT TURF DAVID SIMCOCK (3yo+) Suffolk trainer who crops up from time to time, usually with his AW runners.... more

The Greenbrier Classic

 By Ralfie1982 in Golf

29 June 2015 23:04

The Greenbrier Classic Feeling pretty confident after landing my 100/1 e/w tip in the BMW German Open with Kiradech Aphibarnrat getting a good 4th, to return a nice profit for those who got on it. This one might be more challenging to pick with course experience maybe limited, having been a relative newbie to the Tour starting in 2010. The Course & Stats $6. 7m pot $1.... more

French Open Feeling pretty confident after landing my 100/1 e/w tip in the BMW German Open with Kiradech Aphibarnrat getting a good 4th, to return a nice profit for those who got on it. So with this confidence I look at the next event. This looks a really good competitive field with any number of players in with a decent chance.... more

 By ibfm23 in Premier League

29 June 2015 05:55

Hello and welcome to my 2015/16 season blog! The Reds have opted for a different pre-season strategy this time around and in contrast with last year’s high profile friendlies will travel east and face a number of local sides in Thailand, Australia and Malaysia. Back in Europe they will play HJK in Finland before kicking off the season at Stoke (!!!shivers) on 8 August. The club has been very active during the early part of the summer transfer window.... more

 By Ralfie1982 in Golf

28 June 2015 23:08

The Open Championships Time to get our thinking caps on over the coming weeks and think about where the value is likely to be. I have just seen my 100/1 Kiradech Aphibarnrat place (T4) in the BMW Open, so some more positives for those who follow my tips and also we saw Stenson make a small amount of cash back finishing 2nd at 15/2 The Next One. . . .... more

2016 Oscar Preview

 By LustForLeith in Specials

28 June 2015 20:45

2016 Oscar Preview I know, I know, it’s too early to look at the Oscars. How can you tell how a film may do in the Academy Awards when you haven’t seen it or it’s competition? Well, there's no harm in trying! Could be quite an interesting year. There’s already some early favourites, so hotly tipped moves that have failed to deliver and the possibility of some surprises.... more

28 June 2015 17:34

Thus far since the end of the season I have written blogs reviewing the football season in five countries. These five countries, Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Portugal are all part of the top six leagues in Europe according to UEFA (I picked the top six because numbers seven and eight are Russia and Ukraine, leagues in which have little interest).... more
