The Imperial Cup is always run the weekend before the start of the Cheltenham Festival and is always a very competitive 2 mile hurdle race The race is run at Sandown and was first run in 1947, in total there have been 66 runnings of the race, traditionally the sponsors of the race have offered a nice bonus for any horse that wins the race, to go on and win at the upcoming Cheltenham Festival.... more

I have done trends for every race at the festival in different blogs, with the exception of this race as it has been dominated by Quevega (pictured) and using normal conventional trends probably won't help us pick out the winner The race has been run 7 times and Quevega won 6 of those, so i have had to look at all of the placed horses to see if anything stands out from the 21 horses placed I have looked at Age, Official ..... more
