 By undertherobe in American Football

21 December 2014 17:08

As we head towards Christmas, we’ll see more NFL playoff issues settled on the field tonight and after going 13-2 in Week 14 & 14-2 in Week 15, I’m looking to keep up that record with my thoughts on the Week 16 action Minnesota @ Miami The Vikes ran Detroit close last week to snap a two game winning streak but I still think they are in better shape than Miami.... more

LEICESTER V Tottenham. Premiership December 26th.

By davidg3907 in Premier League Matches

20 December 2014 21:42

Possibly the most futile statistic of the season to date is the last time Leicester won a top flight match on Boxing Day. Having lost 2-1 at Portsmouth on Christmas Day, they avenged that defeat 24 hours later by the same score. The year was 1932 and it was Leicester’s second win of the season having taken maximum points from just one of their first 21 matches.... more

West Ham V LEICESTER. Premiership December 20th.

By davidg3907 in Premier League Matches

19 December 2014 21:58

West Ham v LEICESTER CITY Having become detached at the foot of the table, Leicester need a festive miracle to avoid the tag of ‘bottom at Christmas’. Anything short of a win assures Leicester would open presents in the Houdini-esque position at Christmas. Even a win may not suffice. With an open game virtually assured, chances will come ( and probably go ) at both ends.... more

STOKE V Chelsea: TV Clash Is A Tricky Call

By trouserdog78 in Premier League Matches

19 December 2014 14:33

"Stoke City are probably the most inconsistent team in the country," said the commentator during last week's game at Crystal Palace. "Yes," agreed his summariser, "Imagine how many coupons they've bust this season!" How right they are as well.... more

Goal Difference, Does It Matter?

 By bobslay13 in Other Football

19 December 2014 00:02

Many would argue that goal difference (GD) is just a statistic and at the end of the day the position in the league table is all that matters. A lot of emphasis is put on the wins and losses of recent form but I believe that goal difference can go a long way to showing a side’s potential. I always look at GD when predicting 1X2 results.... more

PDC World Darts Championship Opening Night

 By Hogsback in Darts

18 December 2014 18:23

The first match on opening night looks a really intriguing one. Former World Champion and 30th seed John Part takes on the new sensation from the Isle of Wight, Keegan Brown. Will experience or raw talent be the victor? The other outstanding match looks to be the all Dutch battle between the two former BDO players, 29th seed Jelle Klaasen and Christian Kist.... more

Gameweek 17 - Liverpool Vs Arsenal

By ibfm23 in Premier League Matches

18 December 2014 07:02

One of the worse results of the season turned up to be the best gameweek for the blog. Rooney and Van Persie were both on target and as expected Manchester United were easy victors. Ironically though, for the first time since the Tottenham match in gameweek 2, I was intrigued by the Reds. Intrigued by what appeared to be a sign of life. Intrigued by Sterling who ran ragged the United defense all afternoon.... more
