They represent the best value. As a punter, I very rarely believe that anything under 5/1 is value, but since mid January I have been looking at this market and trying desperately hard to find a hidden gem, Croatia at 66s? It crossed my mind. But my eyes were always instantly drawn to Germany, and after watching Bayern Munich progress to the Champions League Final it only enhanced my view. Domestically, the Bundesliga is rapidly growing into the league it once was, players like Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Lahm, Muller, Klose and Gomez are all very happy to continue to ply their trade in Germany.
Germany made it to the Euros with an impressive 10/10 in qualifying, and in a by no means challenging group they amassed 34 goals which is still good going in my book.
Joachim Low is a very talented coach and he knows exactly where his team are at this moment, he has a strong core of players that have been there for many years and also has the likes of highly rated Schalke star Julian Draxler to call on if needed.

Euro 2012 Winners ENGLAND - Capello looks to have his mind sorted out, finally. It's along the lines of, I'm off after this competition, so I will do and say what I like now that we have just about qualified. The dropping of Frank Lampard, although justified, was a huge step to take. It shows the old guard that no one is safe and those who are not performing will be out in the cold. What only can be called an attack on Andy Carroll, again more than justified, show he won't stand for lack of discipline. You wonder if things weren't going so well on the field, if things would be different off it. I don't subscribe to the criticism that his English isn't good enough, just look at Trapatoni. He has an interpreter with him for all interviews and no doubt team talks and he still gets the best, if not 110% out of his players. With all the youngsters at Capello's disposal, you have to think that the future is bright and he can leave a lasting legacy. Dust off those skeletons in your cupboard Harry, your Country needs YOU! |
